Oh, my. She's beautiful. I doubt I would have noticed the arm if you hadn't mentioned it. You know, I regularly beat up Samus with a Jigglypuff in Super Smash Brothers...I may have to start being a little more gentle.

Thanks! You know, even though I really don't care for Pokemon in general, Jigglypuff is one of my favorite characters to play in Smash Brothers, too. My absolute favorite character is Bowser, however.

I appreciate the critique, Richard. I was going for an overall voluptuous appearance to Samus (like Christina Amphlette of the "Divinyls"), but she does seem to have a kid-like face. I have put the image up on ConceptArt.

Probly one of my favorite video game characters. I think this is becuase mosty of the characiterization comes from one's own imagination. She doesn't talk and basicaly just runs around being hardcore and awesome.

It's true. Samus actually has very little of a backstory. Most of her coolness comes from her armor and the monstrosities she fights.

Nice tribute. As for the proportions, can't you just scale the hand and teh gun a little inPS and use the close tool to pencil in the resulting white space.

It's worth learning a few tricks in Photoshop even if you don't work digitaly, it can be a fantastic safety net.

Thanks! The bikini Samus is my favorite version of her, too. My rendition of Samus is actually more plump than the one in the game. Actually, I've always wondered how she could fit into the thin arm, let alone roll into a ball. It has to hurt the spine.

plump is good she looks great. i try to give my characters a more realistic and natural look as well. i just feel it makes sense to draw them "real" that way they connect better with the audience.
but you know you always have to give some stuff up to fantasy physics.

Thanks! I wanted to do my own take on the character and in my own style rather than just reproduce the look of the character in the game. Admittedly, she's a bit more voluptuous than her game persona.
