Description
This is my entry for Serrifth's ( ) contest "The Unremarkable Mr. G Contest". It's one of two contests I'm entering, the other being Funkylilith and Jojodrum's "Radio Phone-In" contest. The aim of the Mr. G contest is to come up with a weird character that will become a part of the Mr. G universe. [link]
Mr. G is a hobo loser genie who's always looking to bum or steal cash off of unsuspecting people. The only wish people make after meeting Mr. G is that they never met him.
My entry into Mr. G's universe is "Mr. F" and "Master A" .
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mr. F is the woman holding the sword in the illustration. Mr. F attended Mr. G's old high school (comprised entirely of genies) and was a genie with sword skills above and beyond any mortal man. He had a serious temper, though, and most people were afraid of him. This made Mr. F quite unpopular and lonely.
Mr. F was a drinking buddy of Mr. G's and the two losers often hanged out with each other at the school and after hours. One pivotal event would sever the bond they held together, however. While taking a class called "The Fundamentals of Wish Fulfillment 101", Mr. G and Mr. F were teamed up by the professor of the class, "Master A" (the individual wearing the glasses in the illustration). They were to practice making wish fulfillments off of each other, a task important to any genie. Mr. F was eager to get rid of his bad temper and hopefully be able to make some friends, so he made a deal with Mr. G. Mr. G would wish that whatever Mr. F wished for, it would be unchangeable, no matter what. Nothing could undo it, not even the professor of the class. Mr. F would then make his wish, which would be set in stone. In exchange for this, Mr. F would buy Mr. G a ton of corndogs and a sixpack of beer.
So, Mr. G first makes his wish that whatever Mr. F wished for, it could not be altered, which Mr. F subsequently grants. Then Mr. F makes his wish. He wishes that he was a more well-rounded person. Mr. G grants Mr. F's wish but not in the way he was hoping for. Mr. F is changed into a woman, much to his dismay. Apparently, Mr. G is not good at this whole wish-making process.
Mr. F goes directly to Master A, the teacher, and tells him what happened. Master A then attempts to undo the wish with his nigh infinite power but can't because of Mr. G's wish . The school head hears about this and fires Master A for allowing such an embarrassing thing to happen. Meanwhile, Mr. F finds his popularity at school boosted along with his physique but doesn't care much for his lifestyle change. He swears vengeance on Mr. G but never got around it in high school because he was too busy with cheerleader practice.
After high school is over, though, Mr. F sets out to get revenge on Mr. G, teaming up with a dejected Master A, who's been stripped of his powers but contains considerable knowledge. Mr. F doesn't have much genie-related powers either because he partied too much.
Mr. F's personality is a very brash and aggressive, but stereotypically feminine. He doesn't quite like the girliness, but finds himself doing it almost instinctively. Mr. F wasn't too bright before he was changed into a woman and the alteration didn't have much of a change on his IQ.
Master A is a snooty, intelligent, logical fellow. He always acts with dramatic flair and as if every word he utters has deep and significant meaning.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
I realize that's a long synopsis and I hope it doesn't step on any cannon of Serrifth's characters. I also hope it's a worthy entry.

Oh, the story is wonderful, and the art is amazing! Great stuff. You know, back when I was practising law, I knew a guy who looked surprisingly like Master A.

Thanks! You've practiced law in the past and you're an accomplished artist? Grrr...I hate overachievers.

Oh, you'd like me, then. When I quit law, I took the opportunity to switch from a type-A to a type-B personality. I spent about six years goofing off.

I was going for one of those big anime swords you see in a lot of anime. Cloud was definitely on my mind when I drew this image.

Heh. I love how realistic she looks, then how conversely cartoony he looks. Good times. Awesome characters.

Thanks! I'm always torn between realism and cartooniness, so I figure I'll try both.

I absolutely LOVE these two! O.O And don't worry about your synopsis, its perfect! XD And it fits pretty darn well into the story.
My sis and i were talking, and Master A reminds us of Osamu Tezuka.
I have pure love for these two! It's going to be so hard to decide!!! Thank you so much Clue!

You don't know how happy it makes me to hear that, Serrifth. I'm very happy to hear that I didn't miss too much off the mark with the designs and characters. I've been thinking of entering the contest ever since you posted it but couldn't think of what to contribute to it until now. I have to say, I think the Mr. G vignettes in your gallery were hilarious and the artwork and designs are remarkable. It was a load of fun coming up with the entry and thanks for holding the contest in the first place.

I'm just so happy that you're genuinely enthusiastic about this contest, you're the one who has made me happy here! ;w; I'm glad people even took interest in the characters to begin with!
So random a thing, now it has some sort of base here. XD I don't make much sense, then again thats not what i'm good at.
>w< I was looking at all my past comments (thats the only thing this Ver.6 is good for) and crossed your comment about the contest! I don't know how i missed it!
But in the end you came out with this awesome addition, it's going to be so hard to choose now.

nice design, but her legs seem to be positioned oddly.

Thanks! You're correct about the legs looking problematic. I was attempting to go for a baggy pants look but I missed the mark there as well as in the positioning of the legs.

Well, the pants are kinda baggy...
I think the left foot is just to close to the viewer.

I think it's damn worthy, I really enjoyed reading your synopsis! I'm liking the sound of that Master A fellow, I can imagine him making everything he say profoundly philosophical

Thanks! I think the Mr. G stories are hilarious and Serrifth's designs for the various characters are right on the mark with regards to looking like something straight out of an anime. I just wanted to try to make something that fits right into the imaginative world of Serrifth.

Thos are some cool designs and nice backstory too. Be careful what you wish for Why would anyone want a wish that couldn't be undone?
