I have a particular brush in Paint tool SAI that I just used around the edges and then made the rest of the border transparent. I believe the brush i used was some sort of crayon texture brush? I can't remember for sure it's been a while since I finished this piece. I'm sorry! And thank you I'm glad that you like it and I hope that helps a little.
