So ahah...I actually got a few pieces of gift art of these foxes shortly after I posted their ref sheets from friends (and it filled my heart and made me grin like an idiot). One of those was AlolanToaster's sprites of them as if they were trainers in Red/Blue. Aaaand I couldn't help myself; here they are in full color and also in Game Boy fashion.

Funny how when I try to answer "what if they were trainers?", I thought of what battle theme theirs would resemble instead of their Pokemon, haha. Note's would probably be either the Ruby/Sapphire Rival Theme or ORAS's counterpart , and Clef would have Hop's theme . I'm a bit biased because these are my favorite rival themes of the series, but they honestly kinda fit if you know the context.
