Tails!! Young Mr. Miles "Tails" Prower, the two tailed fox (as I'm sure you all know). This is one of my favs... I absolutely love how this turned out. It's one of my few digitally colored pieces that just... worked. I'm still sort of... teaching myself how to use Photoshop to color pictures, and only once in a while do they turn out even close to worth posting here... Thus the reason there are so few.Hand drawn on 8.5 by 11 inch printer paper with a mechanical pencil, then colored in PS Elements 5.0.

Thanks a BUNCH! This one's pretty old, even though I only just submitted it. It's one of I think maybe 3 pictures that I did using this method of coloring that's actually any good. All other attempts have been discarded... or redone in different ways.
Ha ha! Every FRIGGIN time I get a comment or a fav on this picture, I get that DARN song stuck in my head! Though... It's my own fault... I chose the name all by my self... and I do... er... DID like the song. But now that I've had it stuck in my head a couple of hundred times since March... heh...

The coloring's pretty good on this, I think the only thing that's holding back this picture is the line art. It seems a bit inconsistent in certain areas, mainly because of the thickness. Although I will say you will beat me at making lineart any day ever. xD
There are also some other areas that could use more detail such as the spots in the forest, it could use darker values, to give it the feeling that there are a bunch of trees, rather than just one giant bush. Ugh, I'm bad at describing things, if I had time to recolor it I would show you. But still it's really good otherwise.

Thanks, I really appreciate the kind words, and the critique! Don't worry, you didn't confuse me. I know what you're saying, and I might somehow someday possibly maybe manage to find the time and drive to work those darker values in! It depends on... OH so many things... and as for the lines... I blame my sucky lack of INKING skills for killing my pencils. Ugh. BUT, if I can ever get that done, or if I could ever afford to have someone do it regularly, that wouldn't be an issue at ALL!
And I'd love to see you color it... that would friggin ROCK! (I'd actually love to see you collor SO many of my pics... but that would in fact, be pretty stinkin selfish) I understand the lack of time. BOY do I. As a matter of fact... I've been on longer today all in one go than I can remember being this year...

AH, yeah, there are definitely some anatomy issues, but the showcase is really the colors! And the title that gets music stuck in any SA/SA2 fan's head!
It does that to me every time there's a comment or a fav on it... I check my box and notice myself humming that song a few minutes later... and then it's too late.
And to see that it looks like Spaz... That's a HUGE MONGO Compliment!! He's been my artistic role model for my entire Sonic drawing life!
