Alright. I knew it was time for a new ref sheet of this lovely serpent because she just looks better in this one AND...
I actually made a couple changes to her, one of the major changes being to her abilities.
Also yeah I am kinda just slowly redoing all my characters' ref sheets because yeah.

Ok time to go into detail about Beryl. I got a lot to say here:

Beryl is a snake, specifically a very big, and very beautiful anaconda.
She's what you'd expect: quite smart and incisive, as sly as any fox out there, a schemer, always seems to have something up her sleeve, and immediately comes off as untrustworthy. She's always weirdly calm and never displays any intense emotion. She has an intimidating presence that can make others feel unsure about being even remotely near her because of how unpredictable she can be.
Beryl tends to spend her time just being coiled around trees with her judging eyes locked onto animals she'll sometimes stalk. When Beryl feels like it, she'll decide to tease and mess around with any animal she catches alone for her own entertainment. (Don't worry, she won't severely hurt or eat anyone). She's infamous throughout the forest she lives in as not being a pleasant snake to encounter...

Now Beryl may act rude towards other animals, but there's a certain someone she acts very different towards. That certain someone being a dragon she met one night named Clyde, (another character of mine) who is a close friend of hers. Clyde will sometimes go out to the forest Beryl lives in to visit and spend time with her.
Beryl...LLLLLOOOOVVVVEEEESSSS Clyde. For some reason, she acts very motherly, overprotective, and possessive of him. Whenever they hang out, she seems to prioritize constantly coddling Clyde by overwhelming him with comfort, relaxation, and overall, love.
Now heres the thing, there's this sort goal Beryl has, that being making Clyde live with her in the forest, forever, and having it just being her and him and NO ONE else. Having Clyde be with her 24/7 has always been a desire of her's ever since they first met. So, knowing that Clyde isn't exactly as incisive as she is, Beryl will try to persuade and even manipulate Clyde into staying with her when she gets the chance. But Clyde, being his unsuspecting self at times, views it as Beryl simply missing him and joking around with him about it. He's oblivious to her overall plan of making him stay with her forever. Whenever Clyde leaves the forest, he always promises Beryl that he'll visit her again (which is a promise he's quite good at staying true to).
But for Beryl, Clyde simply visiting her isn't enough...

Beryl has a couple unique abilities (believe it or not).
One thing she can do is see better in the dark (pretty self explanatory on that one)
So...you see that one pair of eyes that are black with the blue shrunken pupils in the ref sheet? Yeah so when her eyes are lookin' like THAT...she's using a spell that I personally like I call..."fear factor."
It does a couple things things...if someone looks into her eyes when she's using the spell, it will....
1: Cause them to become severely more afraid of Beryl and of whatever situation she may be putting them through.
2: Cause the pupils in their eyes to turn light blue, meaning they're marked. Beryl will now be able to sense their heartbeats, allowing her to track them.
3: Looking into her eyes for too long will eventually cause disorienting effects to occur (things like ringing in ears, muffled hearing, blurred/darkened vision, and dizziness can happen).
There are ways to cease Beryl's fear factor spell. If someone who is being affected by the spell manages to calm themselves or be/get calmed down from their fear of Beryl, it will wear off.
Also, if someone isn't already nervous about Beryl when looking into her eyes, the spell simply won't COMPLETELY work on them (the only thing that will work in this case is the disorientating effects I mentioned earlier)
Beryl will mainly use fear factor as one of the things she does when she's giving other animals in the forest a hard time. She can have a lot of fun with someone who's scared of her...

As I already mentioned, Beryl lives in a large forest. Some details about the forest is that it's a very, very dense forest (like, theres greenery growing literally everywhere). And another detail is that because of the abundance of trees and their leaves, the sky is usually covered. Because of that, the forest can get EXTREMELY dark at night, like pitch black almost. (That's where Beryl's ability to see better in the dark comes in).

Things that Beryl likes:
-Toying around with other animals in the forest for fun
-Dragons (creatures she's quite fascinated by)
-Her environment
-Berries (favorite food of her's)
-Being pet and having her chin scratched.

Things Beryl dislikes:
-Going back to how she is when it comes to her friend Clyde, Beryl...DESPISES when her and him are "disturbed" by another animal in the forest. Clyde doesn't mind other animals hanging out with them, but Beryl absolutely abhors it. Like I said before, she wants it to be just her and Clyde...24/7.

Other facts about Beryl:
-She's hella strong (which makes sense, she's a constrictor).
-She has a very soft and smooth tone of voice that makes her sound more kind and inviting than she actually is.
-She's can be easily flattered.
