One of the coolest bosses in a Mario game ever. I love how he finally learned the secret of 3D in the remake, it really added some more dimension to his character. Get it? Dimension?

Seriously though, I love his role in the original game where he's a nod to the original FF games where everything was 2D. Now with true 3D that isn't just sprite-based isometric trickery, his little gimmick turned into something even cooler.
Plus, I mean, come on. It's a Final Fantasy boss in a Mario game. How cool is that!
