Here's something I've been working on and off on for the past couple weeks. Portrait of Amy Acker as Samantha Groves (aka Root) in Person of Interest. My first actually completed piece of POI fanart! (I started a Jim Caviezel drawing a couple years ago but never finished that one. I may finish it one of these days.)

The texture here is absolutely mind-blowing. How did you do it?

Thank you!! And most of the brushes I use have a "painterly" look to them to simulate the look of traditional painting. For my most commonly used brushes, I include a canvas-like texture in that brush's "Texture" settings and that helps a lot with the texture.
