The fight had almost been too easy. Instead of being paired against the hardened veterans she was accustomed to, her opponent was so soft it made her angry. Hell, she wasn't even healthy. Sporting various bandages and braces, the girl opposite her in the right tonight presented such easy targets for punishment that it was practically her duty to teach her the folly of her ways. By putting her in a wheelchair for a long time.
She had been savouring the slow torture, knocking her opponent down, stomping on something, twisting another, letting her back up and doing it all over again. To the girls credit, she kept getting back up, although slower and less steady every time. It had almost started to get a little boring if not frustrating, so her tactics got more aggressive. After knocking the battered girl down once again, she began a more aggressive regiment of targeted attacks focused on breaking bones. "You're braces won't protect you bitch", she laughed, "but thanks for the targets!". She felt something snap in the left arm pinned under her boot. The girl screamed. Time to end this, she thought and took a few paces back for a dramatic finisher before charging for the kill.

Jessie:

The fight had not gone well. So much so that the fighter she faced tonight nearly looked like the bell had just wrung for the first round, without a scratch on her and barely a bead of sweat. She had survived untold minutes of sheer punishment. Was it still the first round? Her head was too hazy to remember. What she did know is much more of this and she would be done, her fragile knee had been pummelled and was giving out with any weight and just a moment ago she was pretty sure the crack she felt in her forearm was at least one of the bones there breaking.
But her opponent showed her first sign of weakness. Coming in on a dramatic charge intent on the kill, her eagerness betrayed her. And if spending months in a body cast had taught her anything, Jessie knew that kind of blind attack can prove very unfortunate indeed.
With the last of her strength, she grabbed the charging assailant and pivoted as the attack came. With all her strength she converted the momentum of the charge into a throw directly on to the mat. What was thought to be a broken arm shattered. Her sore right shoulder popped. Her knee buckled again. And her opponent hit the ground head first with a loud thump and a crack. With her last reserves exhausted, she slumped to her knees.

but her opponent did not get up

What happened? The fight was about to end and then... Ow! Something in her back and neck screamed when she tried to move. In fact, any attempt to move was excruciating. In a surge of panic, Aliana realized that was she surrounded by medics stabilizing her, which could only mean one thing. "You bitch.." she moaned, "if I ever see you again, you will pay for this!!". But not today. Today was a trip to the hospital, with a lengthy recovery time in her future.
