The pixels near the edges is just the "graininess" that comes with the fractal. Usually blur variations make that more apparent. The easiest way to get rid of it is to render at high density [the more dense the fractal, the more thoroughly it will blend in with the background and the colors around it]. The reason not many of my fractals are grainy is because I render all of them at 10,000 density [which is why I make the renders so small]. If that doesn't get rid of the graininess as much as you want, you can try bringing down settings like gamma, brightness and vibrancy [particularly gamma - leaving it under 2 is best], or, in some cases, the filter radius being set higher [0.5 - 1.0] can help.
