This is another one of my OC's from the RP/fanfic I run, StarCraft: Blood Born. Blood Born takes place 100 years after SCII.

Andrix was an apprentice to Artanis in the arts of the High Templar, sworn to protect the Unity of the protoss and behold all life in high regard. Unfortunately he became entangled in the affairs of some Judicators, who happened to lead him to believe a young human girl named Shyla Wing was a threat to the survival of the protoss and the humans of Raynor Colony and the New Union of Man. He was instructed to kill her, but when he found himself unable, he suffered the ultimate consequence.

Now his spirit attaches itself to Shyla, too restless to fall back into the Khala, for at his death, he believed himself to be a failure to his beliefs and training, and found himself uncertain of his own convictions.

An excerpt from StarCraft: Blood Born~

Suddenly, the ground rushed out from beneath Shyla and her back slammed hard against a tree. For a moment, she saw stars, and when her vision cleared, she was looking straight into the eyes of the Templar kidnapper.

"You fail to understand!" His thoughts roared. The anger in them was powerful, but she wouldn't be able to know the agony tearing at his heart. His arms trembled as he held her in the air, pressed against the hard trunk. "You carry a curse, and the only way to be rid of it and save everyone else is your disposal! How DARE you accuse MY people of committing the first wrong?!"

The skin of his powerful hands felt hot to the touch, a testimony to the intensity of the emotions surging through him. Had he been human, tears of rage and misery would have been streaming down his face.

Shyla let out a defeated squeak as her body began to betray her moments after her form was slammed into the tree. The conversation with this Templar tore her heart, just days ago she would of agreed with him whole heartedly.

She knew that her death wouldn't solve the core of the problem, though. Her vision began to fade again, and choking from the strain on the fabric of her being she tried to respond.

"You burned Chau Sara and Mar Sara first... "

Uttering the history and truth of the relationship she held to this Protoss that paralleled the extreme history of when the Zerg first appeared, the girl's eyes fell closed and her body went limp against the grip of the Templar.

The horrible fury in the Templar's blood reached its peak at Shyla's words, and he poised one hand to kill, deadly sharp claws ready to rip out the throat of the unconscious girl. His hand closed in around her neck, shaking....resisting. His claws began to cut the surface of her skin, and then....

He stopped.

Trembling violently, the Templar slumped to the ground, easing Shyla down as well. The mighty protoss collapsed to his knees, and he grieved. "Khas, Adun, Tassadar...let death not be the answer. You would oppose this....this nightmare.... His anguished thoughts echoed only in his own head. Forgive my brothers...for they have done what they believed was right...."

His silent prayer was cut short by the cracking of branches and the shouting of human soldiers, fast closing in on him. They burst through the clearing and found him hunched over the girl, his massive, deadly hands clamped on her shoulders.

He looked nothing short of a predator preparing to dine on a kill. His true pain went unheard by the humans and their guns.
