it's funny, i read your thread with len1 about the petty tour 82 - at that time i was in hard punk and reggae, so tom petty flew completely by - just some weeks ago i heard him on the radio "the great wide open(?)" and liked it immediately, sort of "for the first time", haha...

oh yes, i can imagine - well, it's a shame that our net out here at the end of the world is so damn slow, that it's almost impossible to watch a vid on youtube - friends keep sending me incredible links to cool music and i simply gave up watching them...

Let's see, Long After Dark was released in 82 so the tour would have been 82-83, saw them at the University of Texas El Paso Special Events Center then, The Don Haskins Center now named after The Legendary Coach of UTEP Basketball. Saw a lot of good shows there back in the day, Robert Plant, Bob Seger, ZZTOP a couple times there. Great place for a Concert, a Basketball Arena, built for being LOUD
