Yet another oekaki. This one took about three hours, and though it's not technically amazing I'm proud of it because I tried so many new things and worked on a lot of stuff I suck at.

ANYHOW, if you care, the logic behind each girl's costume:

Suki as Mulan doesn't really need much explination. They are both, by far, one of the most butt-kicking of their group, they fight with fans (okay, so Mulan only does it once...), they're strong female role models, and they both fall for the cute warrior.

Katara as Belle mostly because I can't do princess fanart witout Belle. I kid, I kid (moslty). Both of them are very smart and independent, though with a kind nurturing streak a mile wide, and stuck in a tiny place yearning for adventure in the beginning of the story.

Toph was a tough one... before I decided to add Suki and Yue, she was almost Mulan. However, I think Ariel works for her. The pair of them are both the youngest (At least, I think Ariel, at 15-16, is the youngest. SW might be younger), and both ran away from an overprotective family to persue their dreams. ALSO, I wanted to draw Toph in a puffy pink dress.

Yue is so very easily Jasmine! A sugary sweet princess, about to be trapped in an arranged marriage, who falls in love with an adorable peasant boy claiming to be a prince (well, Sokka only claimed to be that one time... but still.)
