This is something that's been a while in the making. A complete recreation of Cobalt, my internet persona Gizoid. I took the liberty to make several improvements to his design and character. Let's have a run down:

His horn design has been changed and improved (I liked the split horn design I gave the original at the time, but overtime, I grew to dislike it). Cobalt now has a gear motif in his design, which is awesome. The original Cobalt had a platinum / silver color as a secondary color, and while the new Cobalt still has those colors, he know has a green color as his secondary color, fitting with his eye color and giving him more overall color. He's get this awesome gear in flames decal on his torso. His scarf now has a techno pattern on it, I love how it came out, especially around the neck area. I finally figured out the best way to make elbow joints in a side view (I've been overthinking it whole time, it was actually very simple). I usually put coverings on the upper legs for my Gizoids, but I seemed to forgot to with the original Cobalt, so, the new has them now, and boy, do they look good. And I also figured out how to make the jutted-out back of the "boots" with this new Gizoid, which are supposed to be for jet-thrusters for speed boosts, hovering, or straight out flight. I also, love the smug look I gave him.

Oh, and I kept the background I used with the original piece. I still think that the blue cubes fits well with Cobalt's power set.

So, there are two things that probably caught your eye more than anything else, the new hammer design, and the Dark Omochao. Let's start with the Dark Omochao.

So, his name is Trick. He is Cobalt's best buddy (think like Sonic and Chip in Sonic Unleashed). He refers to Cobalt as "boss", despite having more of a friendship bond, and, as his names suggests, he is quite the prankster. While I know people don't like Omochao because his advice comes off as more annoying than helpful, ...but you probably shouldn't trust any advice Trick gives, because it's probably a ploy to get a bucket of water dumped on you or a pie thrown in your face. Something like that. I thought of this idea of Dark and Hero Omochao a while ago, and while I've found that I'm not the first to come up with the idea, I liked it so much, I decided to give Cobalt one as a friend. And the design detail I like the most with Trick is his propeller blades, which are actually, sharpened blades, like a blender. The idea came to fit in with the spike ball over the normal Dark Chao.

(Really quick, while I haven't drawn a Hero Omochao, I'd imagine that they would have a hovering device to fly, looking like the halos on normal Hero Chao, and when it comes to them being helpful, I'd love to think that, ironically, their advice wouldn't just be both helpful and non-annoying, but they'd physically try to help too.)

So, now the hammer. The original hammer was made to have the same proportions Amy Rose's hammer, but overtime, I didn't think it was great. So, I updated the design. The mallet of the new hammer is still the same size, but it's design is far more detailed, much like the rest of Cobalt. And the shaft, on top of being longer, now was that central grip. That actually is a spinning gear, so the hammer can rotate around in one hand (think like the weapon Thanos uses in Avengers Endgame). It there primarily to aid with another function of the weapon, which is tip on the other end of the shaft. It looks a spear tip, because it is. It extends out and activates as small energy blade around it, allow the other end to be an extended slashing tip, and the spinning gear can rotate it out to be in front very easily. I'd imagine a weapon like this would heavy to use easily, and difficult to master, but Cobalt is a Gizoid. If anyone can master it, it's Cobalt.

Finally, as I mentioned in the original version, Cobalt used the Color Powers from Sonic Colors, Sonic Lost World, Sonic Forces, and now Team Sonic Racing and Sonic Colors Ultimate. That's still his preferred ability set, and you can see it in this image, as he is currently channeling the Indigo Asteroid power in his other hand (which must say, I think it the coolest thing I made in this piece). If you want to see his full list of abilities for his powers, scroll back up to the links to his Skills, both Positive (second link) and Negative (third link).

So, the last thing I want to say about Cobalt is that I now imagine him and Trick as interdimensional travelers. Using the Violet Void portals, they travel to different dimensions, Cobalt leading the way with the goal of becoming stronger (as Gizoids are known to do), while also helping those in need.
