Steel Cog (The Mad Mare)
Unicorn Mare
Personality:
    - She is and Angry yet very fearful mare.
    - Steel deeply mistrust new ponies.
    - Despite her harsh nature, she loves a good Pun.
    - She loves the color green, and dotes on her comatose sister.
    - Despite her extreme nature Steel loathes killing. She prefers to use effective albeit non lethal means to win, but if pushed too far will do terrible things.
    - Steel suffers from PTSD.
    - She loves Dark chocolate.
    - Steel likes to program all her drones and automatons with basic personalities so as to have somepony to chat with.
    - Steel is incredibly wealthy, as the owner of Cobalt Heavy Industries.

    Steel Cog was born as a middle child to Industrial tycoon Cobalt Cog and his wife Silver Trinket. As she grew older it became apparent that her intelligence was far superior to her siblings and even her parents, when her mother discovered that the maids vacuum cleaner had been turned into a crude automaton that stole cookies for its creator.
    With her inventor’s instinct and passion for robotics Her father Cobalt spent as much time with the young filly as he could, nurturing her creativity. This forged a very strong parental bond between the two ponies. However while she was a friendly filly, Steel was naive and standoffish as most foals were uneasy with her gifted nature. Her intelligence came at a cost for when upset she would lock herself away in an unending spiral and become obsessed. It would fall to her family to break her out of an episode, ultimately keeping her mental health in check.

    When she was of age her father Cobalt asked her to join his company's Advanced R&D program where she excelled greatly. She was the creator of the PonX Construction Mech Marks 1 and 2. It was during this time that Steel was at her happiest. This time period culminated in the creation of her greatest invention, The Magic Conversion Reactor. This was a machine that would pull in ambient magic in the air and convert it into a powerful energy source that was accessible to all ponies.
    It was during the final testing of the machine that tragedy struck. Her parents decided to stop at the factory and see the machines final test so they could Congratulate Steel on her achievement. What should have been the greatest highlight to Steel’s life, became a Nightmare that the Mare would struggle with for the rest of her life.
    The machine whirred to life, everything reading normal when a bang was heard followed by the reactor overheating before exploding. The explosion Vaporized 3 ponies and severely injured an additional 15. With all said and done, Steels parents were vaporized, her sister was hospitalized in a severe coma, and in a fit of grief and rage her brother broke all ties to her.
    Steels injuries where some of the most severe culminating in the destruction of her larynx, loss of her left hind leg, most of her horn, and magically charged shrapnel rendered her sterilized. With her injuries and the animosity many ponies felt towards her, Steel was barely able to handle the combined stress of everything. An investigation proved the Reactor had been sabotaged, and the guilty ponies were arrested.
    Steel limped into the court expecting justice, but was blindsided when the guilty ponies where pardon of their crimes. The revelation that her parents would not see justice, her trauma induced nightmares, the poor treatment she was receiving from the population that blamed her for the tragedy pushed steel’s mental stability to the edge. She finally Snapped when Captain Clopski whose wife had died in the blast cornered and proceeded to vend his anger and grief by beating the crippled mare in an alleyway.
    Steel Locked herself away in her manor, running her dad's company from afar while she built up a large army of automatons and advanced machines of war. The few who visited her described her as distant and she had dark circles under her eyes from lack of sleep. Her moods became temperamental and she developed a skewed and somewhat dark sense of humour.. Her goals while violent seem to stem from her Naivety.
She believes that corruption pervades Equestrian Government, and has vowed to restore order by forcibly removing Corruption one way or another. She still views the princesses as worthy rulers, and firmly believes what she does is for the best of all Honest ponies.
