Description
This is all overlay and color dodge doing the heavy lifting, the fallen warrior is ultra rough, really just gestural with little value or defined form to him, I just knew I wanted him levitated off the ground and being lifted up towards the heavens as a divine power heals his wounds, even taking out some of the blades/spikey things from his body. Originally I was gonna have them be arrows but at the last minute I thought lol that it'd be too much work to do proper feathering so, well, go simple right? Spikes it is!

One other note, I wanted the blood to be accentuated, so it's not a 'realistic' lighting set up for the blood where you have this very luminous effect coming out but still a lot of local color in how I approached the blood. I wanted it overt, not really convinced I could really articulate how the blood would look illuminated by the light so... yeah... overt blood
