I think I counted the right amount of legs, should be six, but then again I mean, it's not like this is a normal insect by any means so I there could be some liberties taken, sure. I added some spines along the abdomen at the last minute, I was thinking about how it would emerge from the host, but then again given how much mass it would be occupying most likely the body is more just a means of transport and housing, probably doesn't have much structural integrity left and would be easy enough to pop out of so no need for the spines. The brightness and sterility of the background makes me think of a lab, but the crack gives it a little bit of a different story.

The leg sticking up is mainly for composition, when invertebrates emerge from their shells I don't think they generally stick legs up and over too often; the two on the right coming out are a little more natural but that large, thick one kind of bugs me, I should've changed that.

Wings were another last minute addition which was tossed on more to sell the idea of it being an insect rather than a spider. Thankfully spiders don't fly, not in our world at least, that's some nightmare fuel for sure.
