30min. spitpaint (30 minutes, no photo usage aside from visual reference), wanted to do something a little more expressive, loosen up a bit more rather than go for a tight rendering......I guess that could be a nice way of saying I was being lazy (hahaha). Β But seriuosly I wanted to convey something a bit more metaphysical, like the physical stretching and melting like wax through the cosmos as the conscious mind expands and ascends through stars.

The guy himself was a quick doodle of one side and I mirrored it to generate a matching half, pieced it together then went back to add on some nuances to differentiate the duplicate sides, and then a layer over that to really push some flow back and forth between the right and left halves. Took the gradient from before, did a selection of the form and pasted it inside to autogenerate a mask, inverted it and started playing with colors
The long and short of this is basically all the 30min. pieces I do are the culmination of trying to find shortcuts to generate visual ideas, and that over time you can create a workflow that gives you the beginnings of a piece, an idea, and the other 20-25min. is just flourishes and playing with hue sliders haha

It's beautiful how you tackle the issue of metaphysic through this painting.
Β The blue light at the back of the character is like the spiritual self ascending,Β
while still being kept in connections with the main body.
And that spiritual self, acts like a bridge between the physical realm
and the metaphysical realms/cosmos.Β
Tapping into knowledge and wonders that the eye can't see nor the mind could follow.
This is a painting thatΒ clearly depicts how the spiritual self are able to governed the body,
so much so,Β that the body becomes light as a feather and seems to float in the air.
It is the same thing as the mind governing the body, until the body becomes able toΒ
withstand great challenges almost making one into a superhuman. Some would say adrenalin rush.
Only in the case, it using it spirits and are in harmony with everything surrounding it.
