Description
I thought playing with scale a bit would be a fun exercise, superimposing the humans in the foreground with their bright lights blaring at Cthulhu in the distance, most of which is blurred out a bit aside from where their lights are hitting. One thing I know I need to work on more is figuring out where/how strong lights project onto weird surfaces, casting shadows, etc., so I figured this would be a good exercise for that, having some of his tentacle being segmented, some of the edge of the light fading off a little before hitting the next tentacle, and then having the other light fade out further as it aims a little higher up.

I think scaling the guys down a little might make for a stronger piece but I wanted to keep them at a size where you could see some color in their suits; I figured if they were scaled down a lot then it'd make for a massive Cthulhu but also you'd have these tiny, drab shapes with big-arse flashlight beams shining up...might end up too weird. Splashes of red for his eyes and some little creatures swimming about the abyss.
