Description
The brave gladiators from the empire marched alongside their leader towards the city of nightmares. The families had said their goodbyes and where now making their way to their respective posts or dens. Gabriel and Silvia where the first to enter the nursery, followed close by their mother, Luna; and also the rest of the cubs and the Gladiators assigned to protect them, all but one.

Rafael stood there, watching the horizon as the Shadow 'army' slowly began to disappear behind the mist and the rain. He sighed, his heart heavy with worry and fear; he may not know the extent of this war, nor the consequences, but seeing his father walk away to the belly of the beast was enough to put Rafie at edge. A well known voice was the only thing that could bring him back from his thoughts to reality, his brother, Sebastian.

Seb looked at Rafael with clear worry in his face "Rafie....are you okay?" Rafael remained silent for a few second before finally confessing "not really". Rafael was known for his bravery, so confessing something like this was even harder for him "I'm worried about dad.....about us....." his ears folded back against his head as he dropped his gaze to the floor "....I don't want him to go, Seb......" a small sniff escaping the mutt. Sebastian came closer to his brother, who was somewhat shorter than than him, and pressed his head against Rafael's fur "you're not the only one..."

The two brothers stood there momentary, by now any trace of the gladiators that had left where gone, they seemed to be only memories in the minds of those left behind. Rafael and Sebastian made their way inside as the rain's ferocity grew, right now the only thing they can do is pray that their father, and everyone in the patrol, will return home safely.

It's only one thing Rafael is asking of the gods, it can't be too hard? Their father had to come back.....right?
