Now that the eggy has been laid, Alvern is going to go live with Roddy whom offered to help him care for the egg even after it hatches. His brother Matthias mostly agreed to come live with them after being told that Roddy owns a small Puckoo farm of her own.

Alvern still wants to take care of Acre a little bit longer and wants her to be around to see the Wyngling when it hatches from the egg. So he's bringing her to Roddy's place until then.

Jane is going to stay behind, though. Which means she gets to keep the house while Alvern and his brother go live with Roddy. After all, can't have some random person trying to take it while they're away ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
