I've noticed a lot of people seem to struggle with the noses and either simplify it or just neglect it altogether. But once you get a nose going, the character's face looks much more complete!!

oh yeah, totally, even if only one thing is off it can completely mess up the whole face ._. i feel like everyone went through a phase of drawing no nose and saying it was their """"style""""" at least i did 6w6;;;;

You should see my artwork before I decided to actually have decent noses - everyone had the same nose. In fact, everyone pretty much looked the same, just a different hairstyle!
Basically it is me falling in the 'it's my style' trap without saying it! I did catch it eventually though!!
