how neat!! i do see a gray but try this on a scrap sheet of paper. take the black and lay down a little bit then come back over it with the white and smudge it with your finger. and there is a lovely gray!! experiment with all your colors and it's amazing how few you actually need to create a picture!!
that's a nice set of oil pastels by the way. since you like working with these, try soft pastels. i know i'm addicted!!!!

I probably would have tried that, but sadly I read "no gray" after I uploaded my picture.
Thank you, I don't know much about art, but I picked a group of pastels at an art store that felt good and smooth. Next time I will go, i will get soft ones! thanks

i have had no art training. like you i picked up a set of pastels about 20 yrs ago and can't get enough!!
