That, and I sorta have this lil theory, or rather, headcanon, that sense all princesses, or most of them, prepared and brainwashed into being elegant and perfect, they are strayed from dark magic, for it is seen as a connection to monsterkind, due to the legacy of Eclipsa

The theory was that Eclipsa, who fled the kingdom with her monster husband, gave birth to a subspecies of monsterkind known as demons, hybrids of mewnian and monster kind
And since her husband had 4 eyes, and she 2, they hypothezised that Tom was related to them, him having 3 eyes

For one thing, Eclipsa doesnt seem like the kind that would have a kid all willy nilly while in hiding from her own homeland, after all shes rebellious enough to love a monster, why would she commit to a role of a mother?

Hmm that theory doesn't make much sense, because first off eclipsa was star's great great (more greats) grandma so even if she had a child which is pretty unlikely like you said, their child either would not be tom (since he's still young) or the three eyes gene probably wouldn't have carried through several generations
And if Tom ages differently or slower then i still think the theory is wrong because I think there were a bunch of other demons at the blood moon ball (I forget if they have different number of eyes lmao)
Also I doubt a subspecies would be able to become the monarchy and rule the underworld in just a few generations?? Lol
