Hey there guys sorry for being quite inactive lately, my college application is almost all I can think of at the moment. Still I am sketching from time to time and post the drawings on my blog.I was so motivated to draw nice hair today after reading the Tales of Yillia manga (holy sh** Milla's hair *o*). As you can see my coloring style is changing a bit, I've started using another brush.

Haha, not that much difference in this case I guess, game adaptions (movies, manga, anime etc) are almost never as good as the original. They left out the parts which are "not important" in their eyes and the feeling of playing the game is certainly not the same as when you watch/read an adaption.

Thank you! ^w^ Sadly that's true... Dissidia Bartz is quite popular though, which a bit sad because Dissidia only shows one side of his personality and more people played this game than FFV. I want him to be remembered for who he really is

It's been a while since I played either Dissidia or FFV, so I'm probably pretty fuzzy on the differences in his character. I remember Dissidia Bartz playing up the go-lucky attitude more than other things, though. I remember he could be a bit more serious in FFV proper. I loved his buddy-bond with Boko. It is definitely a shame that the entirety of his character wasn't utilized in Dissidia. I feel the same way about a lot of Dissidia characters, actually (Squall in particular, but he's my favorite so of course I think that).Β
On a side note, it's also a shame that there really isn't a lot of good FFV fanfiction out there, either. All the FFV characters were so distinct, but being an SNES game originally, they weren't as fleshed out as they could be, so it's a perfect game for that kind of thing.

Yep, absolutely. I can't blame Dissidia though. It just didn't focus on plot and they wanted to make the characters as different from each other as possible to make the fighting more exciting. I still miss some character depth though, that would have been cool
Yes, that's exactly what I'm thinking. I have written some fanfiction for FFV (horrible though, wrote it just for fun) and many years ago I created all kinds of things for the game (character designs for the cast, OCs, character interaction scenes, places...). And while I was doing that I noticed how much space there is for your own ideas. That's one thing I love about the game x3

I remember doing that a lot with Secret of Mana, myself--character designs, OCs, scenes, etc. I started writing fanfic with that game, and it was ***horrible***. XD But you have to start somewhere, I suppose, and those SNES RPGs were perfect material.

I actually really like that kinda stuff, fanfic interpretations of scenes in games, and plothole-fillers. Might possibly be my favorite type! If you feel comfortable with sharing those or the comic, I'm curious, but if not I totally understand.

Thank you x3 I'm not used to painting yet so it's still a mix of drawing and painting. But the secret of digital painting is actually the brush. I love this Sai Brush, I found it somewhere and I use it for everything ever since.
