Description Firepaw was having a dream. He dreamt that he had been accepted into Neglect's pack forever, and became her second in command. He didn't know what to make of this, though. Excitement and wonder prickled his fur and power coursed through his veins, but there was a layer of uncertainty even deeper still.
He woke with a start as he heard a joyous wailing. The nursery! He leapt to his paws and all but grew wings as he sprinted towards the den. Just outside the nursery walls, Icedrop was showering a rather frazzled black kit with licks of affection. The kit's amber eyes were wide with alarm, his fur fluffed up, and his claws in the frozen ground, but his mother didn't care. Slowly the rest of the clan heard the noise, and reunion between mother and son became an unexpected clan meeting.
"Good for you, Ravenkit!" purred Creamtail drowsily walking toward the warriors den for a long rest.
"Now that's my son!" Proudly meowed Dreamstar, giving his son a friendly lick. "Where in the name of Starclan were you? Were your sisters with you?"
"I. . ." began Ravenkit, but he was shivering horribly. Icedrop wrapped her tail around her son to warm him. "I don't remember. I think they were there, but..." his voice trailed off, and she shook his head, the effort of trying to remember apparently causing him pain.
Firepaw knew where the kit had been, of course, but he did not say a word. If he accidentally turned his clan against the pack, he would be forced to fight against Neglect, Shard, Fang, Shatter, and all the other friends he had made there. Firepaw also longed to tell Icedrop that Sunkit and Silverkit were fine, nestled safely among Neglect's own children.
"I think," began Bearclaw, an elderly brown tom that Firepaw barely saw, "That such young kits would not journey off all alone! They would be too tired to walk far, and we know that they weren't inside the borders. Some cat must have taken them away, but now this one has found his way back? Impossible! Someone from this very clan has taken the kits away, then brought one back to cover up any evidence!"
Firepaw's fur bristled. Bearclaw had always been known for jumping to the wrong conclusions, but this time he wasn't far from the truth. The kits had followed Neglect, and she had carried them when they had gotten too tired to carry on.
"If you ask me," continued Bearclaw, pointing a long claw at Firepaw, "It was that one! He seemed to grieve for the lost kits the most, but it could have been good acting!" Firepaw was shocked. He didn't know what to say to that. Did a cat from his own clan think he was a traitor? Clearly they did. Cats meowed in agreement and shock, and Firepaw felt harsh nips and scratches from his own clanmates. He didn't dare retreat to the pack in case his clan were to follow him there, but he was not afraid to run to the apprentice den.
-
In her whole life, Beepaw had never been so cold. She opened her eyes, expecting to see her denmates shaking in their pelts, but all she saw was blackness and the ground itself.
Suddenly a star shone overhead, then more and more. Stars kept comming out until the sky was so silvery bright that Beepaw had to squint to see. The stars spiraled downward towards her, or so she thought. She realized then that the ground was now very far away. The stars were not falling. She was floating.
Beepaw struggled, flailing desperately. Put me down! She thought. Great Starclan, am I dead?
A star came closer to her, brushing against her pelt. It felt cold, but not enough to kill or even stun. Two shining green orbs glowed within the star. Eyes? Beepaw realized at last that this was no ordinary star, but a warrior of the past.
"Ahhh," purred the Starclan cat. "Welcome, child of wind. I have something to show you. Do not be alarmed. Please close your eyes." Beepaw shivered as a sudden gust of wind closed her eyes for her, but even that was not as alarming as what she saw then.
Images flashed before her. Most didn't last long enough for her to identify them, but there were some she could distinguish. She saw a pair of brown tabby kits chasing after a rainbow butterfly,  a golden cat sorting herbs, and a clan leader, shining at the head of its pack. Then she was floating over the Gathering place. Scents of all five clans whipped past her, so strong they were almost unbearable.
All the while, the Starclan cat was talking. "Most cats have one history, one future," it hissed, "But one has as many as there are stars." Beepaw smelled a strong Rainclan scent, and heard a piercing scream. Her fur, already bristled with fear, rose upright.
"And there are some cats who are mysteries. Their past is unknown, their future more than we could ever know. Last of all, there are some that live in darkness. They can choke out fire, but not wind, for they are water."
The visions stopped then, along with the clan scent. There was nothing once more, and she fell through space until she was jolted awake.
-
"Great Starclan, Beepaw!" purred Whitepaw, shaking her awake. "You were moaning as though you were ill!" Beepaw shook her head, clearing the haze in her brain.
"I'm okay," she meowed. "It was just a strange dream." she shivered. "It's so cold!"
"Yeah!" Whitepaw's eyes were glittering with delight. "You have to come see! There's snow on the ground; real snow!" She sighed. "I feel bad for you, though. Don't you have an assessment today? And I feel bad for poor Creamtail, too! Just imagine sitting vigil all night in that without stopping to roll around or play for a bit!"
-
Beepaw sat behind a large boulder on her rocky territory. It was her first solo assignment; Fogstorm was not with her, but back in camp helping Dreamstar reinforce the nursery walls.
Beepaw knew the clan was counting on her to find prey, but her mind wasn't into it. She'd chased a rabbit only to lose it, and a mouse had all but sat between her paws, yet she hadn't caught it. There was one cat she wanted to talk to, the cat that had screamed in her dream, and when that cat's scent reached her at last, she sat bolt upright.
"Beepaw?" Frozenfire asked. "Fogstorm said you were supposed to be hunting out here. As soon as I was finished sorting out patrols, I thought I'd come help." Beepaw looked at the clan deputy, hardly knowledgeable that she had even spoken. "Beepaw?!" asked Frozenfire in alarm, clearing the dreadful silence that had settled between them.
"I. . ." started Beepaw, having no idea where to begin. "I'm okay, thanks. I just had a bad dream, and yes, I would love some help."
But the clan deputy did not budge. "Tell me all about it." Beepaw was surprised at how much she itched to tell someone about the dream, but she didn't know where to start. Everything came flooding out at once, though she could barely understand herself.
"Water is supposed to put out fire, but fire is helped by air and some cats are evil. Then the big ball of light told me that I'm the daughter of wind, but neither Orangeblaze nor Fawnheart are wind. There was a scream that came from you but yet it wasn't you. And I was floating!" She stopped breathlessly, thinking that Frozenfire would react to the dream as though Beepaw were a bothersome kit that had a nightmare, but the golden and white deputy's fur bristled and her green eyes grew wide in alarm and wonder.
"Sit," she ordered, and a confused Beepaw sat down.
"Awhile ago I received a prophecy from a starry cat, but I don't think it was Starclan. They said that the flame of the forest would ignite in the starlit shadows. I didn't know what it meant, but when I found the cure for lostcough, a starry berry hidden in a shadow, I knew I was the fire."
"Then I got another prophecy saying that fire would destroy everything, and that it would be aided by air. I was so confused! Am I evil? Perhaps my dream come from the dark forest!" She stared at Beepaw, and the apprentice shivered. Frozenfire had a prophecy. She lived in a secret world where most cats  didn't belong.
"You are the daughter of wind, so I hear, and that means..."
"Fawnheart is another part of the prophecy!" Beepaw interupted, her heart pounding.
"No," whispered Frozenfire after a long pause. "F... Fawnheart is not your mother." Beepaw's eyes grew wide in horror. Her fur bristled.
"No..." she complained. "No! Tell me it isn't true!" Fawnheart had taken great care of her, but she had lied!
There was no regret in Frozenfire's eyes, only sad certainty, as she continued. "It is true, though you can't tell anyone. The mother of Lionpaw and yourself lives as the medicine cat of Dewclan."

I know, right?

Let me see If I can clear it up a bit:
There is a good fire and a bad fire. They're against each other, and they're also both against water, but air helps both sides. Together they'll destroy everything. . .

Hope that helps.
