F3500 became the standard assault rifle for the Armed Forces of Europe. Succeed by by joint FN-HK-Nexter firearm manufactures, the rifle had replaced all previous rifles used by every European nations.

The F3500 is the bullpup, multi-projectile assault rifle, with a combined design between the F2000 assault rifle and the French PAPOP project. The F3500's main purpose is to carry its magazine from the back, while it fires 35mm grenade ammunition or 12 gauge shells from the top front. The 35mm grenade or shell can be reloaded from the top-end slot; like reloading a shotgun.

This rifle also feautres a digital ammunition counter plate found behind the pic-rail, allowing the user to aim down the sight while paying attention to the number of ammunitions left from the magazine.
