Jaiden was a huge fan of the show Spy X Family. He never expected to become part of that world himself. As he walked down the sidewalk, the world around him changed. It looked like a street somewhere in Ostania, a fictional country where the show took place. Looking down at himself, Jaiden discovered he looked like an anime character though he still recognized himself.

Soon even that would change. A group of corrupt scientists grabbed him and took into their secret underground lab. They began talking to each other in a language he could not understand. The scientists held him in place as one of them injected him with some sort of pink liquid. Afterward they began shocking him in various places with varying degrees of voltage.

When they were done, they showed Jaiden a mirror. His hair had turned pink and he was slightly shorter but other than that he looked the same. The scientists seemed satisfied, at least for the time being. Once again they spoke to each other. This time he could understand some of the words and got the general idea of what they wanted to do next.

They showed him a deck of cards. Then each of the scientists picked a card. One at a time they showed him five cards and he was supposed to guess which card they had picked. He got it right about one fifth of the time which is what you would expect from someone who was just guessing.

Over time his body continued to change. The features on his body changed until he, or she, was fully female. She also became smaller and younger until she looked like a girl who was just four or five years old. She could now completely understand what the scientists were saying. They explained to her that her new form was better suited to contain the powers they wanted her to have.

Jaiden was given the new name of Anya. Being a fan of Spy X Family, Anya could see where this was going and went along with it. After all, she could read their minds. She knew they were up to no good but saw no way to escape. She would just have to make the best of things.

Whenever they tried to test her mind reading abilities, the corrupt scientists crowded around her. This resulted in Anya reading all of their minds at the same time. It was too much for her to comprehend and caused nothing more than a nose bleed.

Thinking the experiment was a failure, the corrupt scientists dumped Anya off at an orphanage that did not keep very good records. This was the ideal place for a spy from Westalis named Loid to adopt a child in order to complete a mission. With her mind reading ability, Anya was able to do exactly what Loid wanted. Later on he was able to recruit a woman named Yor to pretend to be his wife and Anya's mother and the three of them became the Forger family.
