Floyd was an environmentalist. A forest near his home was going to be torn down to build a factory. He had been exploring that forest since he was a child. Both as an environmentalist and as a homeowner this was bad news for Floyd.

A group of environmentalists, homeowners, and other like minded people were trying to stop the project. Floyd joined them but it did not look like it was going to do any good. Supposedly it would bring money to the area but he knew neither he nor anyone he knew would actually see any of that money. The day the forest would be torn down came closer and closer without it being stopped or even delayed.

Floyd went for a walk in the forest while he still could. It was something he had not done in years. He turned to the trees for answers even though he did not expect to get any. Suddenly he saw light coming from a gap in the trees. He ran towards the light and discovered a clearing filled with flowers. He thought he knew the forest well but this was a place he had never seen.

Out of curiosity Floyd entered the clearing. Unknown to him, he had entered a fairy circle and fairy magic started to take its effect. The first change was he became younger. He felt a youthful energy flowing through him that he had not felt in a long time.

Then Floyd changed from male to female. His hair grew down to his shoulders. His clothing fused together and formed a green dress. All body hair disappeared, his breasts grew, and he developed feminine curves. Even his genitals changed leaving him, or her, fully female.

The name Flo flowed through her mind which became her new name. Butterfly wings grew out of her back. She leaned backwards and gently floated down into a field of flowers. Butterflies flew all around her as if they knew her. It made her life. She instinctively felt like she could use magic to make the flowers bloom.

Flo became slightly smaller when she became female but the size of the flowers compared to her were roughly the same. Then a big change happened, or a small change. She felt herself shrinking. The flowers became larger and larger until they looked like trees.

Flo looked at herself and realized she was both the size and shape of a fairy. She was inside a fairy circle which meant it was protected. It was her duty to protect it but she had no idea what to do. Despite everything, the problem remained the same.

After giving it some thought, Flo had an idea. She could make the flowers bloom where people could see it. That might convince people to leave the forest and the fairy circle alone. She landed on the flowers one at a time and made them open up. Then she went to the younger flowers and made them grow. She felt the magical energy of nature flowing through her.

Flo took some flower seeds, scattered them, planted them in the soil, and used some of her magic to make them sprout upwards. They could barely be seen. In a few days they would be much more visible. Making the flowers bloom was very tiring and she was not even sure if it would actually save the forest but she knew it was worth the effort.
