Gabriel went to one of the many parties hosted by the sorority. Although he heard the rumors, he did not take them seriously. This one had a steampunk theme. All the sorority girls were wearing futuristic Victorian outfits and the room where the party was located was filled with all kinds of retro futuristic inventions. Gabriel himself was wearing a steampunk outfit because he wanted to fit in with everyone else.

Rose announced that they were going to play a game. They were going to build a tower using the equipment in front of them which was the same for everybody. Whoever could build their tower the highest without it falling over would be the winner. Gabriel briefly recalled the warnings about not eating their food or playing any of their games before shrugging them off.

"Hi, I'm Roxy," said the girl beside him. "Do you need any help with your tower?"

"I appreciate the offer but I would rather try it on my own," said Gabriel.

One of the girls built her tower quickly. It rose a few feet in the air before falling over. A few other girls had their tower fall over before reaching that height. It was still the score to beat. Rose herself was in the competition. She took her time and constructed her tower carefully.

Gabriel and Roxy also took their time. They looked at each other's towers to see how they were doing but stuck to their own plans. Both of them thought their tower would be the best. More towers fell over. One of them passed the height of the first one and became the new standard.

Rose eventually passed the new standard and was still going. More towers fell, breaking into the component parts as they did. Gabriel moved into second place and Roxy was third. Gabriel was too busy building his tower to notice the changes happening to him.

His hair grew past his shoulders and then somehow braided itself. His shoes grew a heel. His pants changed into a dress with shorts underneath. There was a slight gap in the dress where a pair of stockings could be seen. Earrings appeared on his ears and a feminine hat appeared on his head.

While Gabriel continued working on his tower, his body was also changing. His breasts grew and he developed feminine curves. All masculine features disappeared including his body hair. Feminine features took their place including in the genital region making him, or her, completely female. The name Gabrielle entered her mind replacing the other name that had been there.

More towers fell over leaving only three towers remaining. Rose was still in the lead but had slowed down considerably. Her tower was wobbling. Gabrielle was in second. Her tower looked sturdy. Roxy was in third. Her tower also looked sturdy.

Careful planning was not enough for Rose. Her tower collapsed. Gabrielle soon passed her and had the new score to beat. Roxy also passed the height Rose's tower once had. She was the only remaining participant who could beat Gabrielle. As both towers neared the ceiling, the ceiling rose a foot for some unexplained reason.

Gabrielle and Roxy were both good at tower building but even they could not keep going forever. Gabrielle's tower was wobbling. Roxy was catching up but her tower was also wobbling. Then Roxy's tower fell to the ground with a loud crash. She came in second and Gabrielle was the winner.

Although already the winner, Gabrielle kept going just to see how high she could go. As she neared the new height of the ceiling, the bottom of the tower gave way. It was finally over. Rose rewarded her with a steampunk watch. The contest and the vote were separate events and would remain that way. A short time later Roxy told Gabrielle that she had been unanimously accepted into the sorority. Gabrielle was not surprised perhaps she could even come up with the theme for the next party they held.
