Amenii gave the night gowned an experimental twirl, the loose fabric twisted around her body, resisting the movement, then fanned out in a blossom around her. It was so thin, it did little to conceal her body underneath. She loved the silky feel of the material, it was like wearing something spun out of air and water all wrapped up in one.
Beneath the gowned she wore nothing, save for her panties, the ones she knew Nera loved to nip at with her teeth. They were of a denser weave, but slid off her body easily, something Amenii had learned to appreciate when playing with Nera.

Amenii’s hand touched the nob and twisted. Her finger slipped, and the door made a barely audible click of metal striking metal.

Shocked, Amenii tired it again, to the same results.

‘Nera?’ She called up to the door, confused.

Silence.

‘Nera?’ She tried again, rapping on the door this time. ‘Is everything alright?’

From behind the door a muffled thump sounded, of fabric shifting.

‘No…Yes.’ A voice that sounded similar to Nera’s responded. ‘Go away.’

‘Nera, please.’ Amenii looked up the door half expecting Nera to appear in the frame leering down at her. ‘Open the door.’

More silence.

After what felt like a miniature eternity, the sound of fabric scraping the floor sounded, followed by the click of the door being unlocked.

Working the door handle, Amenii pushed the door open and froze.

‘Nera?’ She gasped, ‘Is that you?’
