Enough time for one last tropical vacation, when the snow starts falling, it is best to head out one last time to the tropics. As, Amenii begins to put on her winger coat, and becomes very, very, suspicious of the coffee Nera leaves out for her. Ever sense this incident:
That and Nera starts bundling up like it is the fifth ice age come again and refuses to leave the bed until the house is properly heated. Amenii hates having to try and wrestle a grumpy predator three times her size out from under the covers. And, Nera has already thrown out all the marbles in the house, this happened shortly after 'The Ice box Incident'. that still brings a smile to Amenii's face.
Along with death threats from her lover, if she ever tries such a stunt again.
Such a love love relationship these two have.

I'm guessing from the information given that Amenii decided to put marbles into the freezer and placed them in bed with Nera one morning when she refused to get out of bed.Β I don't blame Nera for the death threats.Β I'd do the same thing, as soon as I got down off the ceiling.Β LOL.

Lol there are some things that one should just not do to ones hubby. ^^ ice box marbles being one of them, same goes for the fake rubber snake gag, and the tarantula on the pillow gag.
Unless one likes sleeping on the couch.

Alas, here we got a brief spurt of heat, say about sixty, but it is expected to drop again pretty quick.
Thankfully I have Ma' Stompas' aka a new pair of black work boots. Gods I love these, when secured the become little islands of their own for my feet. Warm, comfortable, side effects may include walking like franken's monster until I break them in...

Today it finally quit raining. Very unusual we get a rain event this long. Temps stayed up in the 50s which wasnβt too bad. My office however did not hold up well. Numerous roof leaks have happened. Its what you get with a flat roof covered with tar and stone. The roof needs to be redone not patched. However my agency is severely underfunded to take on the costs of replacing. There was not a close watch on spending last year which destroyed this years budget allocations.
Its so bad my little Charger was taken (with my permission) and sent to the field as we are woefully lacking new patrol vehicles. The legislation bean counters are now taking over blaming upper command for the crisis by not spending wisely. Which is true.......fund limitations were ignored to keep operations going which bore no real results.
It looked good but accomplished little.
Pet projects were all the rage now the true cost waste of these projects has floated to the surface.
I have been told I will get another patrol unit....Ford Explorer Interceptor.....sometime in November or December. Our troop strength is now returning to the legislative ceiling. We will return to our basic operations and get off this stop terrorist routine we have been at for a few years which resulted nothing of significance.
Weβre traffic cops.......Highway Patrol......which we hardly ever did under current operation command. Now we are returning to these roots....

Sigh. I know this problem all to well. Flat roof gets tared, flat roof still leaks, I am sent up top to apply another layer of tar. That lasts one season, then the sun cracks it due to the heat. Next season, buy more tar and repeat. Problem persists.

Ah yes, the terrorist prevention acts, it sounded good to the average civilian, but, the average civilian is as blind as a wombat in sunlight when it comes to the nuts and bolts of how the system put in place to protect them actually works. And all they want to do is complain, complain, complain. Sigh.

Lol I did not know that one, but yes, best purchase I ever made. There is only one environment that they do not keep my feet warm in, and that is our public library. For some reason, known only to the librarians, they keep that building just above freezing, so after less than an hour my feet are freezing despite not being cold out in the snow. O:
