Description
An amazing piece done by Akron featuring Linda in a golden palm forest at night.Sneaking through the tropical forest Linda allowed herself a smile as the light played over her body. There was something magical about the night, it filled her with a sort of energy as she streaked through the forest. Before her a familiar shadow loomed, his back turned she advanced, framing herself against the palms in a perfect posture.
'Well hello there...' she spoke to get his attention.

That he did, I love how she turned out here. I saw this one and knew I had to see Linda standing in that swaying forest of leaves.

Even though I know that pandas are, naturally, a bit rotund, I really do like it when an artist draws one more on the svelte side.Β Linda's one such panda.

Why thank you. I love to break with the norms, and, Linda is no exception. She has to work hard to keep that body of hers, lots of trips to the gym and running. She loves to run.

Even the artist who drew my Jinse XiongmaoΒ drew him a bit rotund, although less rotund than most artists.

So I see, sigh, stereotypes, never easy to overcome. From I have seen there exist a few:
1. All female foxes must have breasts the size of soft balls and should ignore gravity.
2. All zebras are Male and gay, or are herms, and gay. There are no female zebras those are myths.
3. The same can be said for otters.
4. Birds are right out.
Gads, I could go on here for some time but should probably stop. I tell you there are days I think I have seen it all on DA, or at least the majority of trends anyways. T.T

True, true.Β My Amanda Fuchs character is a B cup and only 18 so, gravity isn't her enemy, yet.Β LOL.Β But, a LOT of artists tend to draw their female characters, all species, with overly large breasts, some ridiculously large, like GG cup large.Β The only zebra characters I've seen are your Lars and a couple of others, all female.Β Most of them, however, are rather oversexed, though.Β My otter/raccoon mix character is all female, though.Β As for birds, I've never been much of a fan of anthro birds.Β I don't know why but I've never been big on them.Β I will say this, though.Β If humans had as high of a percentage of gays as are seen in anthro art, the species would be on a downhill slide with little chance of recovery.

Lol can't argue that. Now, I like to think of myself as a bit of a junior art collector, but not in the traditional sense, I collect styles - the more unique the style the better. Hence why each commission varies so much. Alas of late it seems the pool is dwindling, as style wise the big name artists, let's say top 5-10 all share a similar trends. So, to find the truly amazing artists one has to do a lot of digging. A real lot.

Lol Thank you, she blends in so well with the night. Black fur and a moving forest. The white of her fur does sort of clash, but it does seem to reflect the undergrowth quiet well. Noted, next time she will be silent and deadly. ^^

White and black do make a good camo effect.

Surprisingly so, which is not something you would think of at first glance. Unless you are up in Alaska that is. Β Eyes go right over her. Even though she is standing in the middle of the clearing and not wearing any camo.

That is the real secret to concealment. Movement will give you away before colors.
As long as the color is natural. Black and white are natural. Just color alone rarely gives one away. Experience teaches us to notice color that does not fit. Green camo on a snow covered tundra but add scrub brush one might fool the looker. A bright pink, red, day glow neon green those non natural colors our eyes will notice movement or not.
But if the color is natural and does not move we tend to miss it.
Human eyes detect motion first then focus to the object. Its part of being prey in our ancestral history. Movement spooked us so we ran to the trees. Our color sense was to see the ripe fruits to eat and those to avoid. Once we started climb into predatory mode we still catch movement and our color perception located the prey hiding.
I remember in Alaska wearing camo green top with white pants. Snow on the ground under the evergreens. I would usually spot an all white camo in the snow as the shape lacked the soft roundness of the snow. Cloth was too angular compared to surroundings. Not quite snow color.....it would my focus and worth investigating.......send a 7.62 round at it.......just in case.π
Tagged a few back in the winter war games.

Lol nice, and yeah it is hard to properly mimic snowdrifts, now if you are on dirty snow, all the easier.
Funny odd 'super power' I seem to have, The Subtle Stealth Field Generator. I when I am not trying to be somehow become as silent and deadly as the Ninja of old. More times than I can count I have walked up on my coworkers and caused small panic attacks, curses, and on occasion random assaults. And this is me not even trying!
One poor gal was particularly jumpy and openly screaming when I 'came out of no where!' I am just glad she wa unnarmed at the time. @.@

I too possess such an ability.
For my size I am quite stealthy.
Developed in early childhood.
My mother was very much children are seen not heard. She suffered horribly from migraines and was. mostly unpleasant. So being quite was necessary to keep from being punished for disturbing her.
Later dodging bullies which I collected better that baseball cards improved my skills.
The military honed them even further becoming legendary.
Now I just cruise in a semi stealth mode appearing when one least expects it.
Usually scaring the wife who didnβt expect me to be there.π

You too, my mother having the ears of a bat and me being a night owl in my youth were at odds. So I had to learn how to stealth down, not one, but two full flights of creaking stairs and then avoid the areas on the floor that would cause any kind of creaking noise. Are you sure you are not my long lost brother here, as the similarities are becoming almost comical. ^^
Ah, the classic bullet sponge - there is one in every unit. Just like there is one guy all the mosquitoes will swarm while ignoring everyone else. Thankfully I was not that guy - I was the guy who suffered from Fate. It being determined long ago that I was born under The Ill Omen. (A constellation in the shape of a falling man.) - not to be confused with Bad Luck, no the Ill Omen, just meant that life had it out for you in general, and was constantly passively trying to get me killed or maimed ext.
Great example:
Car has broken down, circulation pump failure on a Honda, I can fix that, it is just a messy job and you need some tools. Oh, and it is the dead of winter. At -40 below, and I am doing this in my collages parking lot. At night. well, sixish but it is dark as dark can be by that time.
So, there I am, in my snowmobile suit cursing up a storm with no cloves on trying to fix my car. Nothing is going right. I am covered in antifreeze, and in a very foul mood. Some where off to my right a car pulls in and I see two people get out, they don't come over, and I pay it no mind. I go back to work, and about ten minutes later I hear the crunch of boots on snow and a pair of shiny black boots appears beside my driver side of the car.
My first though is: Great, Shiny boots is probably looking at the keys I have left in the ignition and is going to try and steal my car. While I am under it. So, I do the only logical thing, I put down the pump and pick up the beefiest wrench I have and am about to inflict as much damage as I can on Shiny boots foot wheeeeeen:
'Sir! Come out from under the car.' In that voice that causes you to snap to.
I put down the wrench, and very, very slowly slide myself out from under the car. There a uniformed officer proceeds to ask me about the car, is it mine? What are you doing here? Did you go into the building.
I explained that, I was trying to install a circulation pump as the old one had failed and my engine's antifreeze was now a slushy, he reviewed my license, my registration and then get back to the part about the building - and that there was a silent alarm triggered.
Oh...
So, I explain about the two guys, male and give what little description I can about them, and the officer takes it all down. After which, he takes my name, and contact info as well and he goes inside to look for the intruders. I wait, for about twenty, thirty minutes. And sense he has not returned, it is now getting late, late and the temperature is dropping like it only can in Alaska. And I have to make the call, rationalizing it out, I am not really sure what to do here. He never told me to say put, or warned me about leaving. He was not anywhere in sight, and I was not going to leave a note on his patrol car let alone go ten feet near the thing. And I was not going to stand around all night with numb hands and a now sick feeling in my stomach. So, I go back to my backup car, this one had no heater, I kid you not. And 'Warm it up' enough to drive. Still no sign of the officer - I drive off. Never get any phone calls, no follow up, no nothing.
About three days later in a blur about five sentences long I find my name in the criminal activity portion of the local news paper. Needless to say that caused me a great deal of alarm, because, the second you have a record - and want a job - the doors just close. Boom. Done. Go work at McDonalds. So, in a bit of panic I go down to the station to ask and most polite voice. 'Okay...what did I do?' And I am given this blank look. Apparently I was so insignificant that I was only a foot note in the report, which I did not get to see, but was told to 'Not worry about it.'
It is little things like this, that The Ill Omen does. Needless to say, I never, Never worked on my car if it was not light out. Ever.
...
Anyways, tangent aside. Stealthing up on the wife is probably one of the best and most enjoyable pass times I have ever engaged in. Well ex-wife in my case, married for two years, now divorced for... four? I think. Time is claiming the details, thank god. But some of the better times I recall is her screaming in absolute terror when I erupted from the clausit - she recovered quickly though and ended up giving chase all the way to the porch. She probably would have gone further but her state of undress acted like a rational anchor allowing me to flee. She locked the door then and vowed vengeance. ;D

Good Morning, and thank you. I to love how this one turned out it remains one of my favorite pieces.
As for me I am doing pretty well. A little bit overworked and underpaid, but all that is normal day to day operations.
