Description

The cold and the darkness. That is winter, long stretches of darkness, bitter cold that seeps into your bones and burns your breath. And with that cold, that darkness comes another foe. The Fear.

Shadows begin to elongate, reaching out like spiny fingers to grasp at you, only to pool into a deeper darkness from where the horrors spawn from. The lingering fear that there is something out there, something predatory that is hunting you. This fear can wear on you, drag you down as you spend hour after hour straining your ears for the slightest sound of danger. For the predators.

And then slowly, every so slowly the dawn comes, and that dawn is the most beautiful thing you have ever seen. It may only last a few hours, it may only be a twilight with only an hour of real light, but it is the warmest and most amazing sight you will ever see.

Hold out until the dawn.

    -          Jennivien’s log Arctic Circle

C.S. Notes: Just a little piece featuring Jennivien before she was brought to Zootopia.

Ah, I remember this one - it took off a little slow and I had to endure the hormones of the cast, but by the middle end I got back into it and was pretty impressed with the game. The multiple endings is a bit of a hoax though, as there are a lot less endings than people like to think there are. The narrator did a great job though, he had a way to keep the story going.

I well remember my time in Alaska.
The vastness just overwhelms you.
The cold is something few experience.
I do miss it.

In Texas I can go out west to the Big Bend area......vast openness........
Just warmer.

Just like the song which works for the Arctic or Desert

In the desert
You can remember your name
For there ain’t no one for to give you no pain.

It has a way of getting into your blood, and once it is there, it is very hard to remove. I still miss those isolated mountain peaks, they were great escape routs. I have not had the pleasure of walking around Texas, not yet anyway. Though from what I hear it is the desert form of Alaska.

Ah, I miss those songs too.

An old saying inTexas while driving across from Louisiana to New Mexico
The sun has rose
The sun has set
We aint left Texas yet.

Lol there is a great one about Alaskan highways too, though I can only remember a portion of it:

Winding in and winding out, and beining to question the route...

She really could, being that far out it is hard to find another soul.

Hmm, interesting backstory my friend. So what was she doing out there in the Arctic Circle? And how did she find her way into C.S.’ employment?

Code-Shark In reply to JKnight97 [2018-04-10 21:22:02 +0000 UTC]

Thank you, well. It is part of her initiation ritual. Like all those who came before, Zootopia is not her home. She was brought here, and needed time to adapt to the world. In her case she needed to be away from other mammals, as to better assume her role as Jenn.

She came into C.S. employment quite by accident, or at least according to C.S., her account states otherwise.

Initiation ritual? For what? And why does she need to assume a role? Is she an alien?

Code-Shark In reply to JKnight97 [2018-04-10 23:24:59 +0000 UTC]

Yes... It was necessary in Jenn needed time to adapt to her new role and a new life. I fear it is, complicated. The ritual was one to give her time to come to grips with her situation, and to become more familiar with her new life style that she chose. Ah, third question, is perhaps something to discuss with Sirse. And for that last one... by all technicalities Sirse is an Alien. In the same regard Jenn is also an alien.
