Chain swords are classic weapons, at least in the Warhammer series. (I found a book at Barns and Noble, Gaunts Ghosts, not a bad read as I have never been exposed to the series before.)
The Idea of a chainsaw/sword was a powerful image, and one of the driving motivations behind this piece.

I was joking with several of my colleges today, as I have moved into the hacking stage of my sickness, that I had come to infect them all with a zombie plague. The Barista's I frequent, after telling them of my antics thought this was funny enough to decorate my coffee cup with '#1 Zombie'. Made me smile, and became the envy of my co-hordes
