Description
You walked down the corridor of Waterfall, eyeing the walls. They would sparkle and glow, looking like a night sky. Your eyes saw something like this: sparkle wall, sparkle wall, sparkle wall, sparkle wall, gray door, sparkle wa- what? Gray door?
You immediately backtracked and stared at it. When you first entered the corridor, you had looked ahead. There was no door there at the time!
Curiosity got the best of you. You opened the door and looked inside. It was a small hallway that led to an empty room. You walked down said hallway. Suddenly, the empty room wasn't so empty. Some strange... Skeleton-man-monster thing appeared.
You immediately walked over to him. Upon doing so, he began to fade away.
"W-wait! Don't go! I just want to talk!"
He stopped. Then he began to fade back in.
"...talk?"
"Yeah. Are you okay? You look like you're hurt."
You walked over and reached for the crack in his skull.
The second you touched it, he nuzzled further into your hand. He looked like a little kitten begging for attention.
With a giggle, you continued to pat him on the head.
After a while, you just hugged him. He seemed to jump a bit at first, but then he chuckled and hugged you back. He was warm, and his embrace was welcoming.
Before you knew it, you fell asleep in his arms, your self-assigned task of talking to him forgotten.
He couldn't hide a small smile coming to his face. He gently laid you down on the floor.
He prepared to leave you, but stopped.
He muttered to himself, shaking his head.
He removed his coat and draped it over you.
He kissed your forehead and murmured in your ear.
"Farewell, (name). Please remember the name 'Gaster'. As long as you remember me, I will be alright. I'll come back for you, okay?"
And with that, he vanished.
