I've started trying out Second Life and I find it really interesting. I've made a few good friends, been hanging out in places that are impressive. Though I signed up years ago and never played it after the first day, I came back because of the novel "Ready Player One" by Ernest Cline. The MMO simulation of OASIS in the book reminded me of Second Life, and after playing for about a month, I can see a lot more similarities between OASIS and SL. And I have to admit, I'm impressed with a lot of the lands within in it.
