This is PERFECT illustration.

I looked at it and two things hit me:

I hate this style of art. Why do I love this piece? It's weird. It's sick. It's twisted. It's cool.

I favorited it. Why not, I did have that strong a positive reaction. I don't even like rabbits much, you know me, I'm into cats.

Then I read your description and it fell into place and I cracked up, laughing at myself -- because I love every snippet of Watership Doom and you HAVE captured the spirit of it perfectly. This is too cool. ROFL

And the cognitive dissonance of my first reaction is:

He's not cute. He's weird and sick and twisted, of course I love it.
