My representation of Mewtwo's escape from his test tube. I tried to use Sugimori's original painting of Mewtwo as inspiration, as I find that original makes him more like a vicious science experiment gone wrong, instead of a well-versed megalomaniac from later depictions. I chose to do in just black and purple, purple to represent Mewtwo's abilities, and black to represent Mewtwo's viciousness and insanity.

It always kind of bothered me how Mewtwo's designed changed into that of a highly-intelligent villain with world-domination aspirations. Consider this 'Mewtwo Classic".

(note: originally, Mewtwo was going to have a Nidoking, an Onyx and a Blastoise being held with telekinesis behind him, a slight reference to Gary getting his ass handed to him by Giovanni.)
