oh yes this will get you somewhere with the doubble rainboom project but i must admit the water needs some improvement. but stil this is realy good

Magic and squee are from MLP:FiM. Fire, water, and teleport are from findsounds.com, except the teleport started off as some kind of internal combustion engine >_>

nice animation, very fluid too, though, the reaction right before summoning the water is too suden, it looks like something is missing in-betwen reactions, im not expert but yeah... me-thinks
the water effect is realy great though.
and i think that the bitting-lip expression is easily over used or used out of context, carefull whit that if you get chosen to animate bro, over-use of that would dampen the quality of the whole episode.
again, im no expert, so yeaaah

Love the animation but the sound effects are WAY off...

I like the animation, but I'm not a fan of the magic sound effect. If it needs a sound, I'd imagine it sounding lighter, and well, sparkly, not sounding like a sound effect from an instant messenger program.
Also, for the background, why not try dragging and dropping the file into google's image search? You might be able to turn up the source that way.

The sounds were updated for DR Promo 3, and they sound a lot better. [link] I believe it was David Larsen who did sound design for the promo, btw.
