I love this piece. It gets me in the gut. Your texturing technique isn't anything I've ever seen before and I just love it - it's so chaotic and make the piece feel really frenetic, especially with that wash as a background. I think it's a shame people don't look at this piece as much as they should!!! It's beautiful.

Thank you, thank you! Surprisingly, Weeping Time is the only piece I've sold out of all the pieces I've posted. It wasn't very popular on Flickr either.

Maybe I don't understand the above comment correctly, but you say you've sold out of it? Like, all the prints you made sold? That's amazing. Especially since a piece like that could be hard to live with - and I mean literally live with, like to have in your house and sit next too and see every day. Although that doesn't sound like a compliment, it is. Even from the thumbnail, one can tell that it could wrench at your insides, and to live next to something so...well, insert previously used adjective here...idk, that could really drag you down! I don't know if I could live with it in my room either - but I wouldn't be able to live with a sculpture of the Pieta in my living room either. And not just because it would probably have to take up a lot of space. XP I love it just for this quality - it's jarring, and hits on reality instead of some gentle white-wash of emotion. <3

It's the only original I've sold. No one ever bought any prints. Although the person who bought that piece also bought a print of Emotion Explosion. And in Emotion Explosion, I actually was trying to display some sense of gut-wrenching emotion. Weeping Time was just an experiment in line that happened to look like someone weeping, and so I directed it toward that end. Quite interesting to see the difference between what you intend to do and what it ends up being.
