Description Screenshot from a game I've created with 4 friends of mine during the 'Team Programming' course at my univ.
Deadlock is a multiplayer First Person Shooter with physics driven by Ageia PhysX, skeletal animation, 3d sound, custom GUI and some pretty nice Shader Model 2.0 - based rendering.
Deadlock has mostly been implemented using the D programming language.

Thanks!
That weapon is actually a free model of the plasma gun from the Alien movie, with a custom texture. Any similarity to other games is coincidental

Oh well... hehe. Is there a way to play this game? I am an intermediate programmer who have just got into "blending" (using Blender). I'm not just a hobby programmer anymore ...

Anyway, is there a download?

Not at the moment, sorry. We used to have a centralized server to which people could connect, that almost always had someone playing. The plan was not to distribute the server so we had direct control over who was testing the game.
The project is currently stalled since we're a bit overloaded with univ assignments and exams. We'll be restarting it in a few months, so we're going to need testers.
I'll probably add another screenie when we have something new and cool working

Testers? Yay! I'm happy to join that team if necessary! Have you at least got a website?

[btw, I could send you my MSN address as a PM (is it even possible?) or e-mail if you want me to!]

Sure we've got websites
Here's mine: [link]
The team's: [link]
And the kinda oldish site of the project: [link]

Please keep in mind that we won't be working on this project until the semester and exams are over :> MSN might be a good idea so we might communicate when we finally get to working on Deadlock again and you're serious about testing it
