my desktop runs like crap every time I try to tweak it. especially Firefox, almost floods all the CPU.
have a question: dod you paly CoD on Linux (Ubuntu, Slackware) or FreeBSD before with WINE? or any popular games that for damn Windows only?

Hehe, Firefox did that to me as well, but I'm now using Chrome which I find much better. Maybe it doesn't eat any less memory if you sum up all the processes, but it's much better at releasing it and generally feels snappier.
CoD on Linux? Nope, haven't tried it. I've used Linux for max about half a year as my main system. I tend to lean on the Windows side of things due to more software for it. IIRC, I only played some Tuxracer and Nexuiz on my olde Linux install.

I don't want to buy a Xbox, so expensive. Firefox doesn't work fine with Linux, but on FreeBSD it's okay
