This turned out to be a bit more bothersome than I originally thought. Nothing too serious, just a cute little image of the two meeting from Chapter 2 of Birth of a Sin , but ugh Tristan...YOUR FACE IS DIFFICULT! I wanted to go with #16 from fav.me/d9yuqc9 to practice more limited palettes and THAT PALETTE WAS DIFFICULT! This cute little fun practice image was DIFFICULT. Bah! Didn't come out great either but I was admittedly a little frustrated and called it quits.I am not sure if I'll be doing little 'insert' images for every chapter since I have 25 to 30 chapters (of varying lengths) planned out. But If I have an image in my head, expect it to be drawn.
Hopefully better than this. Yeesh.

I apologize for the delay! There was a bit of confusion, but here we go!
This piece took my attention quickly due to the interesting title and the soft pastel color palette!
I really like it when a drawing shows a glimpse of a story and I can't help but be curious about the characters.
It's easy to assume that the boy with the blue eyes is the angel and the girl with the red eyes is the demon. However, I think it could also be the other way around, that would be an interesting twist!
Lighting and shading: The light source is a little tricky in my opinion. For the boy, there isn't enough shadows for me to tell where the light might be coming from. I would recommend practicing more on shading and perhaps use a color that is a lot darker than the base, enough to provide more contrast.
Expressions: There is a lot of personality showing on their expressions. The kind and gentle smile of the boy and the surprised? cautious? skeptical look of the girl as she saw him. I think you did very well to show this!
Another suggestion would be maybe to make the separating line in between them thicker so it won't be too close in thickness to your line art and make it more apparent ^^
You did a great job! I know it can get frustrating to draw and get a result that isn't the same as we expected, however, it is also more important to finish an artwork in my opinion. So in this case, you could draw again and get more drawing practice for these lovely characters!

Hehe Thank you! Ugh I do agree with the light source. That was one of the stressful things here! Since I was working with a limited palette I though it'll be easier...but...meh. I need to plan that out a little more.
I'm glad that you can tell the differing personalities here from the characters! The obvious assumption is the correct one: The blue eyed sweetie is the 'angel' in this case and the red eyes is the 'demon'. However their story is a complicated one that I am having a fun time writing!
I think later on, after some more practice and more insert drawing I'll try my hand at this image again. I have been drawing these goobers quite a bit thanks to the story so hopefully I'll improve in my comfort level too

yep! just balance between going past your comfort zone for some artwork and mix it up with elements that will help feel more comfortable with it, if that makes sense? XD

Oh Tristan has some power; he is good looking guy, he knows it and he is also charming. He's sweet, somewhat confident and while he has his own problems, generally at this point he has a handle on them. Ira would argue that things would have been different between them if not for one tiny little thing.
Granted, not that it would excuse what she does to him; it really doesn't. But if she has to blame SOMETHING, it would be this one tiny thing: Seraph.

Opposites attract? If Sybil/Sloth is like Ice, and Ira/Wrath is like Fire, than Tristain/Lust is like water. Once he appears, Orsin/Gluttony would be like a cinnamon roll. Or Earth. I don't know.
