"Let. Him. Go."Her hand was steady as she held her sword just inches away from his throat, her pale, silver eyes glaring into his bright blue gaze. She tried hard to ignore memories flashing in her mind, of when those eyes held nothing but a gentle kindness and impulsive curiosity. Instead she could see malice, dismissive disgust and what she always noticed and once tried to stamp out.
Lust.
"Aww Evie. Are those the first words you say to me? After so long?" He chuckled softly, his voice as light as ever. She pushed the sword closer towards his neck as his hand moved, though he only brought it up to scratch his left cheek, the bandage shifting to reveal hints of that hideous scar. He grinned as he gazed at her, studying her like a cunning snake, waiting to strike, "I was only on a hot date with this cutie. I wasn't going to do anything to...hmm..." He turned back towards the young man cowering behind him, "What was your name agai-"
"EYES ON ME, TRISTAN!" She shouted, her heart pounding. She took a deep breath, stifling that bubbling toxic mixture of anguish, "Stop lying. You know who he is." Her eyes stayed on the killer before her, though through her peripheral she could see the his target shaking, whimpering at the realization of what was planned for him. She moved forward, setting the sword an inch closer, making this criminal aware that she would not hold back.
Not anymore.
Tristan released a light and airy laugh, his eyes shifting back towards her, "Right, his name is Matt...hmm I think his mom is the new DA right?" He mused, "Gee, maybe she shouldn't have taken us so lightly." He lifted a finger to press against that sword, his eyes narrowing while that gentle smile never left his face, "Don't you think?"
She clenched her teeth tightly, "So is that what you're doing? Being an murderer for that hideous MONSTER? You are better than this! Better than HER!"
The false smile vanished, his eyes narrowing further into slits. In flash he was in front of her, and she moved her sword back to block the large knife aimed for her throat. He snarled, more beast than human, "YOU, OF ALL PEOPLE, WILL NOT INSULT HER!"
She couldn't help but give a slight smile; she had him, "Matthew! Run!" The young man, seeing that sudden opening, sprinted as fast as he could. Tristan eyes widened and he jumped back, throwing that knife quickly towards his preys' back.
She shifted to the side, blocking that knife with her sword, matching Tristan's impossible speed with hers, "I am your opponent! Focus on me!"
Tristan growled before his lips curled into a vicious smirk, "Aww, Evie. You forgot something again; I'm part of a family now."
A shot rang out, and her eyes widened. She turned just in time to see the young man fall, blood spraying from the side of his head. Her hand trembled and the claws of defeat coiled around her heart, squeezing it, "...No..." She could feel the loss of another innocent, weighing on her back and she hissed, struggling to keep out the rage building in her with the succinct knowledge that she LOST.
Again.
Tristan chuckled, his voice low and husky, before it grew in volume, turning into a gleeful cackle, a storm raging in his eyes, "She gave me everything I wanted!" He walked closer to her, sneering, "And you?"
She closed her eyes, his voice, echoing in her mind began into a distinct, venomous roar of the one she hated the most, the one who was surely laughing in malevolent joy at her humiliation.
It was Wrath speaking in her mind, repeating words she could not bear to hear.
"You have NOTHING!"

She has impeccable posture and her hair, while as wild as Ira's, is usually kept tightly coiled in a bun. She has a large nose and strong jaw, her calm expression helps make her appearance more soft and gentle. If Ira can be compared to the Sun, then Eva is much like the moon; she has very dark brown skin and dark hair, with only her eyes being being bright and light, though also a bit distant; she seems to focus just beyond the realms of most people's reality, making her appear a little spacey.

Clothing Choices: Eva wears dark clothing and hardly has uses for dresses, preferring simple suits and slacks. Her appearance maybe a bit dowdy and uptight, but it is also classic and professional. As Seraph, her outfit is a mix of Victorian and Samurai; her bun is clipped to a Victorian style hate with ribbons and feathers, and she wears a Venetian mask with embossed wings around the eyes. Her boots are also Victorian in styling. However, she wears light Samurai style armor and wields a katana. Her colors are black and grey with some pale yellows and whites, hearkening not just an angelic appearance but also that of the moon.

Education: She is very intelligent but does not have an official degree. Instead she is constantly learning music, reading up on science and math, or practicing various martial arts and sword fighting, like Kendo or fencing. She is also well versed in Criminal Justice.

Work History: She is music teacher and violinist by day, a vigilante by night. She also teaches Kendo, Fencing, or Martial Art lessons for different dojos and schools around Monterose, trying to make sure there is food on the table.
Skills: She is a very skilled swords woman and talented, gifted martial artist, having learned those skills during her time with the military group who rescued her and the monks she sought out during her travels. She is able to adapt very quickly in a fight and think of quick plans in the moment, making her very hard to handle one on one. She is also very aware of her surroundings, also difficult to get rid of from a distance, her sense of perception much more acute than she lets on. She uses music to help meditate, keeping her mind at ease and she fights like there is a song in her mind, using that to keep her calm even during tense situations.
Powers/Talents: Her perception and reflexes are beyond the realm of normal humans; she is able to get out of nearly impossible odds; avoiding and even slicing bullets as they go towards her is easily with in her grasp. She is able to match and adapt to her opponent; if they are super strong, she nearly becomes just as strong, pushing back what should shatter her. If they are inhuman in speed, she matches it, reflecting their capabilities. This makes her a menace in close range combat and at a distance; her downfall is mid range and going against more than one person since it takes away her focus. Luckily she can easily switch opponents thanks to her reflexes and enhanced perception of her surroundings.

Phobias / Fears: She has no phobias nor doesn't seem to fear anything tangible. However she is deeply disturbed by the flashback she suffers and fears that she is missing something important, something deep. There is a hole in her she doesn't understand and she is afraid of being consumed by that hole and the disjointed, flashes of memory do not help.
Bad Habits / Vices: She has a tendency to meddle into affairs outside of her purview, usually out of concern but also because she is suspicious. She is a bit of a day dreamer while it is true she has mental gaps, she often plays it up to pretend she is more incompetent than it seems. This really irritates Jessica and Jayce and when she is called on it, she merely pretends she had forgotten all about it.
Quirks: She is a day dreamer and often stops in crowds to state at the sky, lost in her thoughts. She paces around when agitated or nervous. She mixes up words when she speaks and can be long winded; either because she is trying to remember a detail or just to be annoying.
Best Qualities: Adaptable, Resourceful, and Patient. Eva has a very good heart and strong ethics despite her loopy tendencies. She enjoys chatting and listening to others and is always quick to adjust plans and adapt to difficult situations. She is very patient, making her an excellent teacher and a warm presence.
Worst Qualities: She is Stubborn, Self Righteous, and has a reputation for being Unreliable. She does not allow room for doubt, nor any grey areas. This stubbornness and tendency to argue for what is right pushes people away and her self-righteousness frustrates those who can see grey areas. Because of her memory gaps, it's hard to keep track of key details, making her seem out of her depth.
Goals and Motivations: There is something missing, something important. She can feel it. She is torn between finding out what that is or just getting rid of that feeling. Because of it, she has a tendency to be drawn to children in need, wanting a family of some kind despite also trying to stay the lone wolf. She also wishes to help and save people, which draws her to fight against the powerful criminal grasp in Monterose. This leads to her new motivation; prove a certain someone that she is no "Coward".
Morality / Ethics: Eva has strong morals and sees things in black and white; no you shouldn't kill nor hurt, not for any reasons. Own up to mistakes and accidents and do your best to avoid them. Everything is in clear categories. Despite her adaptability, of her morals and ethics she is resolute.
Mental Illness: She has Retrograde Amnesia from damage to her brain and cannot recall her childhood nor early teenage years. She is easily frustrated with others when they use those early years to define themselves, because she cannot understand it. This damage also causes her to have disjointed flashbacks, giving her painful headaches and forcing her to lose focus during key moments. She tries hard to ignore it and push forward but since dealing the Dante family, they are becoming more frequent and her composure tends to weaken during each meeting.

Sexuality: She is unsure; she finds both genders quite beautiful, equally so, but has never felt sexual interest as of yet.

Sexual Experiences: Eva is a virgin and has not expressed interest in staying that way nor changing it. She has platonic or close to familial relationships, but never any of a sexual nature. Quite simply, she never had much interest or a spark has not hit her strongly enough to really care.
Key Relationships-
Jessica Vargas: She see's Jessica like a daughter to her, akin to how she felt towards Tristan. Jessica maybe impulsive and tempermental, but Eva admires her strength and spirit; even though Jessica has no limbs and suffered from a tragic past, she has been able to look forward with optism. Or at least Eva feels she tries to. Eva works a lot of jobs to suppose Jessica and Jayce and is thankful she still has some military connects to supply Jessica with new limbs to keep her independent. Due to what happened with Tristan, she is fearful of Jessica's sharp temper and tendency to hold grudges, trying her best to steer her on the path of light instead of darkness.
Jayce Tennison: Jayce is another one of Eva's family, and though he is not as physical as Jessica in terms of fighting, Eva admires his intelligence and wit. She ecnourages him to work on his studies and enjoy the inventions he builds with the few scraps of technology she gives him but she has a hard time approving of his hacking and information stealing. While it has been useful, she still scolds him for it.
Tristan/Lust: Tristan was like a son to her; even though she was too young to be considered a mother when she took him in, she tried her best to be a role model, to bring out the good in him and push back as much of the darkness of his past away as she could. When he went missing, she searched for him. When Jessica claimed to have found him, she was overjoyed. Until he tried to murder Jessica and showed Eva his true colors. All that she had sought to build in him was gone and when she saw that hideous scar on his cheek, she realized he had become a Sin, Lust. She still wishes to get through to him but her patience, once unbreakable, is beginning to wane.
Ira/Wrath: Ira is the one person Eva has no patience left for. The leader of the notorious and untouchable Dante Family had made it her mission to punish Eva for something she cannot even remember. What is worse is that whenever she and Ira meet, she loses focus has disorienting flashbacks, all beginning at that faithful night when Tristan revealed himself as Lust. Though Eva wants to save everyone, Ira is the one person she is close to admitting a feeling of hatred for. Hatred...and yet a deep sadness. She will not admit that the hole she feels in her is related to Ira.
Orsin/Gluttony: She has no idea that Orsin is her little brother and Ira will keep it that way.
Key Childhood Experiences: Eva's childhood memories are nothing but disjointed flashbacks signaled by bits and pieces of a lullaby from long ago. She cannot remember her childhood beyond the feeling of sand, the sount of goats, a little girl who reminded her of the sun, a little boy with eyes like rich caramel, and that lullaby.
Key Teenage Experiences: The point Eva does remember starts when she woke up in the middle of a burnt down village, covered in ash, starving, and almost dying from thirst. She was rescued by military personnel, nursed back to health and her injuries tended to. This military group was trying to put down raiders and insurgents destroying villages and while they were too late to save the village they did manage to save her. She grew up with them, and though they tried to give her to families, she always ran back to them until one of them decided to adopt her and train her. A few of these soldiers had been enhanced and when Eva was old enough, she volunteered herself, hoping to be useful. The group refused, but she managed to sneak into one of the experiments, causing cross continamtion and gaining her abilities. However it made her very ill, so much so that modern medicine didn't seem to help. Only when her guardian brought her to a nomadic monk tribal did they manage to heal her. She was passed on to them and trained with them, gaining the name of Empty Mirror, though thanks to the religion of her guardian and the group she was raised by, she preferred the name Seraph.
Key Adult Experiences: After staying with the nomadic monks and training under them, Eva had traveled the world, backpacking and learning more martial arts as well as picking up music, trying to piece together the song she kept hearing in her mind. Each time she traveled, she always seemed to get caught up in a rescue, fighting off muggers from victims and had a soft spot for trying to help children. This did not change when she came to the United States and met a young teen run away from a foster home. He was an emotional wreck, almost mute and his cheeks and arms with long scratches. When she brought him back to his foster family, he would only run away again, though never to any place, just to be outside and away from his guardians. When she escorted him back again one more time, he gripped her hand and froze in place, looking up at her with wet blue eyes, his voice whispering, "Does anyone want me?"
Seeing that agony and pain reminded her of how she was as a teen, no memories, no family. Seeing that she was the only constant in his life during the short time she had known him, she took him into her home, saying that it was his home now and working with authorities and a very frustrated foster family to let her be his guardian. When that became official, she told him that she wanted him, they will be a small family, and she'll help him. That finally seem to heal something in the young man and life returned to his eyes. That how she met Tristan.
She helped raise him, and trained him much like she was trained, giving him independence. Eva still worked on helping others, preventing muggings, stopping murders and soon Tristan joined her, becoming her partner. Together they also took in Jayce, a run away hacker who was being chased by a gang after swindling them, and even Jessica, an abandoned, broken child who needed new limbs. It was difficult, and life was modest, but Eva had her small family.
It wasn't until they moved to Monterose and Eva with Tristan by her side, tried to clean up the city that everything began to change. She wasn't sure at first why she felt compelled to move there, but once they arrived, she felt gaps in her memory beginning to close, flashbacks increasing. It felt like a sign. The same time she got bolder and started to be an annoyance to the criminal underground in the city was also the time that Tristan began to show reluctance in joining her on patrols, having started a relationship. It was not unwelcomed, but she felt torn as well, feeling something dangerous looming upon them. When one of the raids went horribly wrong, she set out to leave, ignoring the compulsion to fill that hole inside of her to protect her family.
Then Tristan went missing.
She searched for him, trying to seek out the places she figured he had gone to. She knew it was the Dante family and it did not take her long to think about the woman he had been seeing. Yet no matter where she searched, it all lead to dead ends. The penthouse she checked out was empty, abandoned, and no records of anyone living there. After several weeks, nearly a month, she began to make a plan to try and infiltrate an island just off the coast of Monterose, one final place to look.
Before she can do so, Jessica, now joining her on patrols, claimed she found Tristan. Eva immediately rushed towards the scene, at her overjoyed and relieved.
Only to watch as Tristan stabbed someone he once treated like a sister. Eva managed to rescue Jessica, demanding that Tristan explain himself, then trying to get through to him. He only laughed when she vowed to save him, mocking her. At that point he revealed he wasn't alone and Eva was face to face with Wrath, who lunged for a fight.
During the battle, Wrath revealed herself as the head of the Dante family and as well as someone who despised Eva for nearly two decades. Due to her powers, Eva was getting the upperhand, but a sudden hit from Wrath and a flashback of the girl who was like the sun hit her and she was defeated, her sword destroyed. However, Ira did not kill her, instead making a promise.
"Death is too kind. You owe me twenty years, you coward."
Eva made a vow to stay, hoping to still save the city and make a dent in the Dante Familys' hold over it. She will save everyone or die trying and no matter how much it pains her, that everyone included the woman who ruined Tristan. The woman who burned like the sun.

Ohh nice! I need to update my Toyhouse account but here is my (somewhat outdated) OC journal: Original Character Journal . I have a little widget: Meet the Dante Family that has a few more OCs on it, but I need to update one central location sometime for all of them.
Oh she is a very capable fighter, though she excels more in one on one close combat. She is able to deflect long range attacks as well, but the low point in her abilities come from fighting more than one person. However she is very skilled still and has excellent perception and reflexes.

she has a bloody rock. she doesn't kill with it. she just keeps it as a memento.( Info on English schools, for the story on her past) Info On English Schools: before i get into the backstory let me just tell you about the schools here in England, if you don't live here. so the 1st thing is what age you start school and what we call it, i know that in America you are put into a Graid. over here we call it year. so if you are in Graid 1 you are in year 1 for us.
no before we go into year 1 we have to go to nursery which is attacked to the school. we star that at 3 years old to 5 years, then we start year 1. when we get to year 7 we are now in High school and in year 10 and 11 is when we start out final tests. in year 9 we pick what subjects we want
