Description
So decided to make this image for a short story I'm working for Week 3 writing topic from . Spoiler alert; he lives (he don't have the 'iconic' heart scar yet). He tried to escape one last time and you can guess how he tried. Ira wasn't too happy about that and shed tears for him. This pretty much broke any resistance he had left and the rest is history.Beyond the tragedy of this, I also wanted to try out a palette challenge and chose this group 35 from fav.me/d9yuqc9 for this. It was really fun to try and draw and paint! I really liked how this came out and I hope ya'll do too! Expect the short prompt to be written up soon
Note: God I need to work on profiles. Ugh. Bah!

It's a decent image. First of all, the line work isn't bad. It looks pretty good, but some places look a little too rough or messy. Now, about the anatomy, it's pretty good. However, I gotta critique the hands, as they are a bit too small and I'd suggest making them a bit bigger. Next, I also got to comment about the pose. The hands suggest she is carrying the guy up, but her body looks as if she's also lying down. The problem with this is that neither is possible together. If she were lying, her elbows would need to be pressed on the ground, which they aren't.
Now, about the woman's hair, it is very nicely done and stylized. The red color is easily the most striking part of the image, making it really stand out. Speaking of which, the coloring is very well done. It has a nice sort of retro feel to it, something that i'm kind of a sucker for. Design wise, they also look pretty good, also having that retro feel. Onto the expressions, they're very well done. The characters are able to easily display what they're feeling, easily explaining the mood of the picture.
Overall, decent image. I needed to point out a few rough lines and the anatomy and pose could use some tweaking. But the colors and designs are very well done. Keep it up!

I agree with the hands. I should've resized the damn hands. Ugh! I was happy when drawing them but then I started to color and zoom out and realize "Aww...damn...hands again!" I also agree with the pose; I wanted her to lift his head a little bit and used a reference, but I think how I did her waist led me astray here. I should've cropped that or made it look more like it's behind her and up a bit. Hmm, more practice needed.

Lol I go CRAZY with her hair. It's so emotive on it's on. Reminds me of Medusa or a lions mane. I think either one works as an apt description.

A lot of emotion there. Really great, it give a really good impression after reading th story. Yeah profile are good idea, but sometime it give to much info away before reading.

Hehe they can reveal too much, though with a lot of these characters I have so much detail and all planned out.
I also meant side profile on the face too; I feel like Tristan face looks squat from the side.
