Description
The development of the StarFox: Revelations movie is going quite smoothly in conjunction with our other projects. The plot is, so far, successfully and credibly merging most if not all elements of StarFox that were previously unrelated. The soundtrack consists of music not only from the various chapters of the series, but also full orchestral music from multiple movie soundtracks (at this time, I am forbidden to reveal what they are). So I've decided to take the time to draw this new tidbit of the project.

The image portrayed here won't exactly be in the official story of StarFox: Revelations, but perhaps as a bonus scene. It reflects my take on Kursed, Krystal's alter-ego that manifests itself in StarFox: Command.

This picture was inspired in part of 's "Star Fox-Sins and Virtues" ([link] ), where Krystal portrays the Sin of Envy. I was really impressed and quite shocked to think Krystal would go down that path. StarFox: Revelations takes place between Assault and Command, so I had to take into consideration any and all changes related to the franchise in all currently released games.

After some research on StarFox: Command, I learned that one of the many possible endings is that Krystal not only joins Star Wolf, but then leaves shortly after, becomes a bounty hunter, changes her name to "Kursed" and dons a completely new attire and demeanor. At first this change seems very radical, but after some time, it's not so bad. Krystal is beautiful, no doubt about that, but I would've always liked to see her become more independent of not just Fox, but the team itself. And now this change in her character has increased my appeal of her. I love tough girls (Samus Aran, for example).

Another factor of inspiration for this piece is the song "Surrender" by k.d. lang, which is featured in the "Tomorrow Never Dies" soundtrack which I had purchased recently. The song is about a woman seemingly also struck by the pain of unrequited love, but unable to let go, and resolves to make the one she loves surrender his love to her again.

Krystal was asked to leave the StarFox team by Fox, fearing for her safety, never considering her feelings on the matter. Imagine that she does become the bounty hunter, Kursed. Imagine that no matter how much time passes, she can never forget Fox. She then decides she'll force Fox to see the error of his ways, break him, make him surrender, not only his body but his soul.

On visual terms, this piece differs from the others because I haven't retouched the lines with Microsoft Paint yet. I was too proud of it to wait until after I did that to upload it onto deviantART. I also started to experiment with shading. This picture is 100% HD (Hand-Drawn), even the shading was lightly done with graphite. I want your opinion if it looks fine the way it is, or if I should re-draw the lines.

Damn, Kursed is hot! I love the long hair and cold eyes! So sexy! I'd surrender my heart to her anyday!

In fact, I really like how this turned out so much, I'm willing to let anyone with Photoshop and knowledge of the StarFox franchise to color this. I would love to see this the way it was meant to be.
