Except they can't: Nintendo doesn't own the rights to Mischief Makers, Treasure and Enix do. Nintendo merely provided the English localization.

Gunstar Heroes is definitely an awesome game, I wish they could've done an HD version of it for next-gen consoles. But until then, I'll enjoy the original as much as possible. (-)w(-)
Sin and Punishment was also pretty fun, I have yet to play Star Successor though.
