I understand why you've chosen this kind of approach for "marketing" your game but I'm a bit afraid it will end up causing more negativity than popularity. When you are creating up hype on purpose like this by not revealing anything, there is the danger of people actually getting hyped for something that is never going to meet up to their standards no matter what (duke nukem forever syndrome). Also it might make this seem like you're trying to appear like a savior blessing people with something they desperately need instead of trying to get your game out there. So I believe a more humble approach would have worked better.
THats just my opinion though, it is your game and you decide how to market it. I'm very interested to see how this turns out regardless.

Well, tbh we (or I actually, my two teammates were thinking like you) wanted to create curiosity more than hype. I don't thinkΒ one can get that much hyped from nothingness. At least, I hope so.

Heh, the funny thing is that there is so little of this kind of thing that you can get hyped from literally nothing. Still, I'm sure it raises curiosity but I'm just afraid people will dismiss the project for no reason. But lets hope it doesn't come to that. Good luck with your gaemu!

You can do some pretty nice stuff with RPG Maker, you know.
The thing is, most people use it without trying really hard, which results in poor quality shit. But it's a pretty nice tool when used correctly.

But seriously: Of course it is, but I've seen a lot of ambitious projects that use RPG maker go to shit. I'm going to wait until I see something good before I actually consider this though.
