The only thing I would've done differently in the contest rules would be to make the winners random picks as long as they meet the criteria of having a theme. Judging the art itself might push people to pick things they think will impress the judges instead of what they would genuinely enjoy having on their wall, which is silly, since it's their prize.

i did not know it was about finding three pieces of art from three different people to be as similar as possible in color and tone and subject. that was the contest, very similar winners, no variation, but pretty, yes, pretty pretty

DA, you should really do more contests like this. So many people win! Artists who participate find new stunning art, a TON of art is shared by a TON of artists, and it's not just the people who put the three images together who win, but also the artists who's artwork is chosen, because they get a lot more exposure to the DA community.  I think this contest certainly brought more great art to my attention, some of which was unfortunately not available in fine art prints.
